No. She’s shorter than me and heavier. But who knows what I’ll be at age 50-80. So far so good
|
No, she is 5'5" and 115-117, I am 5'7" and 115-117. She is frail-skinny, I am fit-skinny. |
I am 5 foot 2 and 120, she is 5 foot 9 and 170. She gets annoyed when I don't eat the portions she does because I am SHORT and cannot eat the way she does without looking dumpy. She never says anything about my weight but my height has bothered her my whole adult life. She wonders if she didn't feed me properly as a child and has said more than once that only tall women can be truly considered beautiful 😑 |
we are essentially the same height and weight (she's about 5 lbs heavier) but different body types. She has a very thin upper body, but heavier hips, thights, butt and a now a bit of a tummy (but she's 82). Wears a 4 top and 8 bottom. I am more proportional and more muscular than she is now but also than she ever was. I am a 4 or 6. all that being said, she was MUCH thinner in her early 20s than I was--she had a tiny waist, ribcade, etc. I was bigger all around even then. |
+1 Although I'll add that I've been very thin and I've been overweight, and being very thin feels much better -- walking up steps is easier, clothes fit better and the entire world opens its arms to you. So it's not just about numbers on a scale. |
Yes. I'm also 6 inches taller. |
It would be the opposite. She’d probably be a size 6/8 today. |
Women love to blame pregnancies on weight gain. Fine to do so when you have toddlers but not when your kids are teens. |
I'm nearly 50 and my daughter is 20s. She and I are both lean and weigh the same roughly. Healthy lifestyle diet. Nothing crazy. Just minimal processed foods etc. My daughter is considered skinny by some of her friends but in reality her BMI is a healthy range. 19.5 or so she told me. If you flashed back to 1990 it was normal for the majority of young women to be lean. People eat too much processed foods now even foods that are marketed as being healthy. Like vegan veggie puffs. People also eat too frequently. Eat three good meals a day and cook basics from scratch. Don't snack. Eat more at meal times. Build up an appetite in between meals. |
Don't be so sensitive. Cancer killed my mother after chemo, multiple surgeries and radiation. I can still answer the question. My mom was also 62. Yours sounds older. |
No. I'm taller and we're about the same weight. I think she was a good cook but I'm better🤣. She was a SAHM and I'm not |
Mine is big now but was smaller than me at my age and younger. She acts smug about it but she was also a smoker for decades and for years she used amphetamines for weight loss back when they were legal. It isn’t hard to be skinny when you’re smoking and taking speed instead of eating. I think her calories mostly came from scotch.
Based on how my grandparents looked, I know that her actual size and body type is more like mine. |
Yup! |
Omg what a nutcase, I am sorry 😞 |
with my mom, it was cigarettes. Of course, they gave her breast cancer that metastasized all over her body, but hey, she stayed slim even with the tumors. |
