Ladies, are you heavier than your mother?

The mothers were all in their late 60s to early 70s. Funny enough, the elderly women were doing all the cooking. All of the daughters worked outside, but these older women worked when they were younger too. The older women each had had more kids than their daughters.
Not sure what has changed in families, but this was dramatic. I'm saying like 50- 100 pound difference in weight in all cases.
One woman joked about it and said that her goal was to get to her moms weight.

Why isn't anyone asking sons if they are heavier than their dads?

I am about 10 pounds heavier than my mom but she has an eating disorder. I’m size 4.

Size 10 is big for YOU.

Beyonce is definitely a size 10, and I am willing to bet she looks better than you with clothes on or off.

And yes, there are many size 10 women walking around with pretty good figures.

She's almost 6 ft tall. The average American woman, who is 5'4, is overweight at size 10.

She is 5'7", so not too tall.

Yes. I'm also 6" taller than her and she's a healthy weight so I would be dangerously underweight at her weight.

No. I am built like my dad's sisters. I've always been slim and muscular. I'm the same size at 50 that I was at 15, and I've had six children.

We've always had the same body type and been within the same general size range. We're both very active. Sometimes I am 10-15 lbs heavier than her and sometiems she is 10-15 lbs heavier than me, depending on stress, life, working out, etc.

OP here. I am basically a dead ringer for my mom. So much so that i have old pics of my mom at my age and people think they are recent pictures of me.

*PP I meant. But yes, I look exactly like my mom.

She never says anything about my weight but my height has bothered her my whole adult life. She wonders if she didn't feed me properly as a child and has said more than once that only tall women can be truly considered beautiful šŸ˜‘

OMG is your mom my Mother in Law? That's exactly what MIL says and MIL's size lol. (I am 5'3" and she constantly talks about how relieved she is my kids got her tall genes)

I remember once my mom had me try in her wedding dress when I was ten years old and it wouldn't fit. I was stick thin at ten, my mom is just 5' tall and weighed under 100 pounds. I'm seven inches taller than she is. I think I got taller than my mom at 8 or 9.

My mom also had some health issues when she was a kid, so I suspect she's smaller than her genetic height, given my sister is 6 feet tall.

I thought this too.

huh? Yes. She was 180 lbs at 20. Her groom was 130lbs. She's heavy in the pics. Idk maybe a size 10 is a higher number today due to vanity sizing. We're short too.

Yeah - that's probably a 14/16 today if she's short. Size deflation and all.

I am 5'8 and at 180 lbs I was a size 14/16. For a short person it would be even larger

Not necessarily. It depends on the body.

I am 5'8, 185 ibs, and a size 10. Size 14 will be big for me.

I would be curious to see a 5’8ā€ 185 lb woman as a size 10.
