Will daughters be drafted?

It sounds like you're bat shit crazy to begin with so don't worry about it.

Says you? I don't agree that equality is not always everything it is cracked up to be. Those words can only be spoken by someone who doesn't have to worry about being equal. I do think women should register for the draft. I do know that we haven't had a draft since the 1970's. I do know that there have been enough people to cover the demand for military personnel so it's likely that no one will be drafted - neither men nor women. I do find the attitude toward woman in this thread really sad. There is a lot of anger and resentment toward women. Just starting the thread was a provocative gesture and could be construed as a desire to incite fear and anger.

If women want equality they have to stop taking every opportunity to claim victim hood.

Bullets on the battle field don't discriminate nor do I.E.D's.

Only 13% of all males now alive have ever served. Of the current cohort of military age males the percentage is more like 5%. So stuff your righteousness up your ass.

Jim Bob, Michelle is calling. It's her fertile time.

The more women overtake the military, the less the military will be seen as a desirable profession by males.

Does any serious person believe that a feminized military force will be an effective fighting force? No, no one believes that.

The average amount of weight an infantryman has to carry is 91 pounds. There are only a microscopic percentage of women who will ever be capable of that type of physical labor, no matter how much they train.

Women simply aren't capable of the job.

Can you please explain what a "feminized" military force is? Do they fight with doilies?

If only a microscopic percentage of women will ever meet the necessary standards for the infantry, so be it. Only a microscopic percentage of the infantry will be women. But there is no reason not to let them apply. Tits don't get in the way of a gun.

And if we're going to have a draft, women and men should be eligible.

The question is, will they keep the standards that high if only a microscopic number of women qualify? I doubt it.

It will end up like this: http://nypost.com/2015/11/22/struggling-firefighter-injured-after-just-10-days-into-new-job/

Your example doesn't make sense. That woman failed the physical exams but was allowed to graduate. If the tests are necessary, then all soldiers should have to meet them. Keep the standards as high as they need to be. I have no problem with that.

I mean, can anyone think of a reason why not??!?

Yeah

I don't want to lose my daughter to a senseless death, nor do I want her to be around men who have no respect for humanity.
Well, I don't want to lose my son. What makes your daughter any more important than my son?

So many things wrong with this statement. The military is why you live such a privileged pampered life here. Do you know how rampant wars were? These people sacrifice themselves to keep you and your family safe and you call them without humanity?

As for losing your daughter to a senseless death, I am sure all those families with sons really wanted their boys to be drafted. No one wants their children to go to war, when it happens it's a tragedy for all.

So basically it's ok to scream about equal wages (usually not equal work), and whinge and moan about air conditioning as a patriarchy tactic and what not. But when it comes to a true test of sacrifice and equality all bets are off. Hypocritical.

Do you need a "safe space" because this discussion is a "microaggression" against women?

Tell that to those dead or maimed--because, hey, only 13%/5%. Who is th self-righteous ass?

You are kidding right. This thread was started because there is currently a measure in the White House to actively consider women signing up for selective service. It's a legitimate topic to talk about, just because you disagree with other posters opinions does not mean it was constructed to incite fear and anger.

Yes it's ridiculous. All the sexist tropes that usually would incite anger in feminists are suddenly being used because women don't want selective service or something hat men suffer that will also disadvantage them.'
