That's like saying why don't we give Mexicans a place to live? They are North Americans, they share our Christian heritage. Yet conservatives don't exactly feel like it is our responsibility. Palestine wants its own land, the land it lived on for centuries, not someone else's land. They want their government, not someone else's monarchy. |
I am the PP. Thanks for your reply. I understand your discomfort and agree that refusing treatment by a Jewish physician is disgusting. I guess I can only speak for myself. I am absolutely critical of Israeli policy without harboring ill-feelings toward Judaism or Jews. Likewise I harbor no ill-feelings toward Muslims because of the actions of Hamas or ISIS. |
We share the same sentiment. However, as a member of an ethnic group whose members have historically been disenfranchised and persecuted simply because of skin color, I cringe when I hear or see discrimination of ANY ethnic group, nor will I be cajoled by anyone in 'choosing' sides. Peace. |
Add to this "but the children " cries. What the heck is Usrael supposed to do? Not fire back? Wait until those tunnels are used to attack and kill Israeli citizens? If people do not want to see innocents killed, ask Hamas why they fight the way they fight. The only excuse given is 'they have nowhere else to fire from'. Please. |
Israel is committing genocide. It's only some Israelis and Americans who pretend otherwise.
Killing thousands of innocent civilians is unacceptable and Israel will play a heavy price for its actions. It is not the USA, so whatever the USA did in or to Iraq will not change the inevitable, complete isolation of Israel that is so appropriately starting to happen. |
It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels. Saint Augustine |
I would like to see the breakdown of the innocents to the militants. In addition, what percentage of the innocents were killed because Hamas used there location to launch from? |
Hamas is firing from these locations on purpose- they know Israel will fire back, that civilians will be killed, and that the deaths will provoke outrage in Palestine, the Arab world, and beyond. They know that every time an Israeli attack kills civilians, more Palestinians will take up the fight. They're recruiting the next generation. |
There are amazing photo albums on this page demonstrating the depth of the opposition to Israeli occupation and genocide.
https://www.facebook.com/AnswerCoalition People all over the world are really angry at Israel. |
Yes, because Answer is such an unbiased source! |
The pictures speak for themselves. As do the polls showing younger Americans strongly oppose Israeli policy. https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/news/americas/13203-latest-gallup-poll-shows-young-americans-overwhelmingly-support-palestine Soon only aging Baby Boomers will put up with the US allowing foreign policy and aid to be dictated by Israeli interests. Of course, even some of them will get fed up the more Netanyahu tells the US to shut up, but keep sending Israel money and missiles. |
You cite such reliable unbisaed sources PP! |
Actually, the pictures can be manipulated. As for the poll, it depends on how the question is asked. For example, an extreme majority do not think Hamas is justified. 42% think Israel is Justified; 39% unjustified; rest no opinion 11 % think Hamas is justified; 70% think it is unjustified; rest no opinion. They do not break the Hamas question down by age. They do show that people that follow the news closely are more likely to think Israel is justified. I think if they had broken down the Hamas justified to the younger people, they would not think that Hamas is justified either. The young are against war. They are idealists. You have better poll data than the Gallup Poll? |
I liked to the gallop article; you linked to someone that interprets the gallop article, and leaves out the opinion on Hamas. |
