I believe my case is a result of mild pcos and a husband who rarely puts out. He's a once a week type of guy. Given I'm probably not ovulating regularly there isn't a good chance I will ever get pregnant naturally if he will only do it once a week.

PP, congrats! Do you mind sharing your HGH scheme: dose, side effects from it, etc?

I took Omnitrope beginning day 1 of the stim cycle, every night with the other night time meds (had two shots in the morning and three in the evening). The dosage was half a vial every day- vial was 5.8 mg and I mixed it with 1cc of diluent. I stimmed for 11 days. I did a lot of research on HGH and was determined to try it, even though my doctor and his colleagues weren't really on board. In the end, can I say that it worked? Who knows if that was what did the trick, but I my one and only BFP in my 40 years came after an IVF cycle with it.

hi all,

congrats to everyone who were successful , soo happy for you and good luck to the rest of you

I just completed my 3rd IVF cycle with CCRM with Dr Schoolcraft,
we did the family planning option which involves doing 3 cycles and then ccs at the end of the 3rd cycle.
I was 41+6 months when I started the first cycle and completed the 3rd cycle in March.

We got pretty decent amount of eggs in each cycle, 29 matured , 17 reached day5 and went for CCS.
But only 6 came back as normal (grade day 5 4AA, day 5 4AB, day 5 5BA, day 5 4BA, day 5 4 BA, and day 6 4AA).

now trying to save money for surrogate .
May I ask what were the grades of your normal embryos that led to BFP with your own egg?
what do you think are my chances?

You have a lot of good quality embryos. However, some people experience implantation issues due to problems unrelated to embryo quality, or, sadly, repeated miscarriages. So it's entirely impossible to predict true chances. Based on embryos only - it's a very good chance, if you assume everything else is perfect. Your RE should be able to give you a better guesstimate though.

For successful cycles -
#1 - 38 years old, 8 retrieved, 5 made it to Day 3, transferred all 5 - pregnant with singleton.
#2 - 40 years old, 10 retrieved, 2 made it to Day 3, transferred 2, - pregnant with singleton.

Total of 6 cycles and honestly don't remember the egg numbers on the negative cycles.
GOOD LUCK!!
