Ben Platt is so ugly.

Nepo babies don't even have to try

I posted the photo. Let's try to not comment on whether the wearer is ugly or not. The point is discussing the outfit and whether it fits the theme.

wow, she has gained weight.

It's prosthetics, inspired by Corradini

Bodies today so not look like bodies even 100 years ago. Props to Heidi for being culturally aware of that

To me it comes off like she's wearing a fat suit, I'm not going to applaud her for that.

Aside from the padding, I also think it's weird that Heidi treated this like one of her Halloween costumes and just tried to make it look as convincingly like the original as possible. Usually at the Met Ball, designers create looks that are inspired by the theme but aren't straight up costumes. This like like fine art cosplay and is a lot less interesting to me than some of the dresses that reference or evoke a specific work of art but arent' just straight reproductions.

Yeah, I like looking at pretty or creative things, but it feels more grotesque every year. Truly feels like a parody of itself.

Why does she never change her hair? And wear those glasses?
Is there a medical reason?

It's so bizarre.

There's always a nekked lady.

I actually think this would have worked better if they were eithet more daring with it or instead shaded the bodice differently. It gives the suggestion of exposure but isn't exposed at all. The nipples on the bodice remind me of nipples on the batsuit.

What are they trying to convey with this?

Sex. Doesn't know how to be classy.

I assumed the K sisters were trying to peddle the Skims line of nipple bras? It's basically a one for one.

She's lost nothing, she looks great.

I like Nicole Kidman's face looking normal, it is okay to age.

She looks good. She must be so happy that she got rid of her weird husband.

He moved out, and like the first husband, she was surprised he wanted out of the relationship. He got rid of her. She's fine, but no need to rewrite the history that has been reported by multiple sources.

So she was left by a weirdo scientologist and a mostly recovering addict? I don't think she's the problem here.

I guess but the bodice is so heavy it doesn't feel sexy.

It's satire. They want to say that they basically got famous by showing their tits. It is mocking the public that made them famous and rich just because they showed their body and nipples. Also, they want to say that their naked body is a work of art and the artistry of some plastic surgeon.

Elder sister Kim too...her nipples.

For the first two - I believe SKIMS has products that look like this, so it's probably just advertising their line. Always trying to make that money.

She looks great except for mermaid hair. Absurd.

Oh come on, with all the crazy outfits and nudity on the red carpet, Nicole Kidman's hair is barely noticeable. I actually think it looks fine with her look.

You never hear a bad word about her, by the way, and she's been in the business a long time. Anna is lucky she agreed to be a co-chair. I wonder if she did it so her daughter could enjoy the event.

The Ben Platt suit was a perfect tongue and cheek nod to him playing George in the musical "Sunday in the Park with George" which was based on the painting on the suit.

Search Jack.Savoie on TikTok or Insta and watch his ratings because he also has done the research as to what works of art inspired a lot of them. Including the Madonna inspiration which was really interesting.

They are always peddling something. This is exactly why they will never be classy. They are so gross.

I am the contrarian here. I don't agree with the critics.

I loved Lauren Sanchez's dress, yes a little too much bosom, but I loved the dress.

I hated Kylie Jenners dress with the half naked top.

Kendall Jenners was very pretty except for the fake naked boob.

Kim Kardashin ok - didn't love it/didn't hate it.

I don't hate the bodice/breastplate on Kim Kardashian's look, I just think the skirt doesn't work with it.

This is the best of the hands dresses on Lisa imo. I don't understand the meaning of the hands but it was definitely a theme this year.

If you have two or more failed marriages, the problem isn't all on the other people. At the very least, she doesn't pick her men wisely. The men evidently have problems of their own, so I assume that they're all at fault.
