It's the Met Gala. It hasn't been about subtlety for years. I'm a Lauren Bezos apologist. I really don't care that she has huge honkers and bad filler and likes being tacky. I'm with you, she seems warm and kind-hearted. I'm so over boring upper middle class people talking about "money screams, wealth whispers" and taking all of the fun out of socialites and celebrity gossip |
Me again. She has such a ready smile usually. I think the news really got to her, and she's feeling the pressure of being a sponsor. The Vogue photographer is usually so good at capturing the best of every attendee - either they wanted her to look bad, or she's so stressed out she can't relax or smile on the red carpet. |
Honestly the biggest problem is it's poorly fitted. You'd think with her wealth she could get proper tailoring. Hem's off, it's pulling on the hips and the bust looks uncomfortable. Having it properly fitted would improve the look. |
PP you replied to. I am Japanese and was very offended at her vulgar get-up for the 2024 State dinner with the Japanese prime minister at the White House. The Japanese are all about subtlety, and that was basically a diplomatic slap in the face. She failed to understand the assignment. I agree that she can wear whatever she wants for the Met Gala, hence why it's so interesting that she chose to wear a really subdued-for-her outfit, which clearly speaks to her state of mind. |

Don't get me wrong, it's still gaudy with the neckline, but a very boring look overall. I get people shouldn't hate on her for no reason, but this is the Met gala and presumably she lobbied to be the main sponsor. Her look is disappointing. |
