NP. I still plan to have my DC apply when the time comes. They are going to 6th grade in the fall, so I most issues will be sorted out.

I think you are in an ideal position. I am concerned with the lack of a plan as a parent of an 8th grader. I have also worked in a new school building and know how many hiccups there can be in the first couple years, adding a half-baked plan to that is worrisome.

One was a former student and the other was on the building committee (?) that opened the school and is a neighborhood liaison, which doesn’t make a ton of sense to me because Langston is not a neighborhood school. It serves the entire county. She said she was speaking on behalf of staff, but it wasn’t clear how many or who.
