Kennedy Hearing

The man pureed raw hamsters in a blender, and he ate himself into a brainworm that prevented him from being able to support himself after getting a divorce. The tanning bed is a gentle kiss of almost-near sanity compared to the rest of this train wreck.

He was also a heroin addict for 14 years, who contracted Hepatitis C from sharing needles (Hep C causing neurological damage that include conditions like spasmodic dysphonia (aka RFK Jr's torturous voice) and, as you point out, a proud mutilator of defenseless animals.

All in all, a sick, addled, rich-kid douche-bag. But that voice, it's a gift that keeps on giving!

My body my choice. Sound familiar? He is not saying ban all vaccines but leave the choice to the individuals.

That's not hard to understand- just like abortion.

Not when I am literally having a very hard time getting a covid vaccination. He's making it harder.

+1 I also have been unable to find anyone that is currently giving out covid vaccines within 100 miles of my house

Where are you? I just got one in Safeway pharmacy in Rockville. I'm younger than 65 and nobody asked if I have some condition that makes me more at risk of severe side effects. They did check my insurance, which covered it. But it was simple to get. I got Moderna. They were offering both Pfizer and Moderna and I had to pick. I had no clue which, so I just went with it.

The “truth” about vaccines generally, is well established.

The fact that you think that medical knowledge is static tells me you understand nothing about science.

The reason you want medical experts to meet annually is that the “truth”changes every time a new study is published. That is why you need EXPERTS who can judge scientific rigor and make evidence-based recommendations.

Kennedy, is not only unqualified, but his main hiring criterion seems to be finding men who share his quacky biases.

Vaccines wouldn’t need their own court system if they were as safe as people claim.

People are particularly weirdly obsessed about vaccines, and that includes both plaintiffs and regular people in the jury bench.

If you could make sure any voting jury member had passed a test assessing basic biology and vaccine facts understanding -- even at a college freshman level -- you'd be fine.

But this thread shows how whackadoo these people are just milling about.

So you're saying people take vaxxes and then just randomly want to sue drug companies for no good reason? And for some reason this is different than how people approach any other medicine?

OK. People smarter than me who love to inform the public, please weigh in here. I'm not MAGA so please don't flame me for not understanding. Why are reputable news sites and the hearing with RFK jr and the nonsense at the CDC making it seem like it's impossible to get a COVID vaccine...and then one poster in Rockville says they got one at Safeway and another poster somewhere upthread said they could not get one within 100 miles? Make this make sense.

No, yeah, see -- this is why you would be utter patootie on a jury. There are things like the difference between correlation and causation, the fallacy of post hoc ergo propter hoc, statistical analysis, and the like, that aren't even on your radar.

Those are fancy terms, but they aren't fancy ideas. People have been believing in snake oil curing cancer, or that some vaccine magnetized them so they can stick keys on their foreheads, or such stuff, for forever. That's just the way a lot of ignorant or misled people walk through the world.

It's not "randomly suing." It's not that nothing happened. It's just that some people confuse it happening with it necessarily being caused by something, despite the massive weight of evidence to the contrary. And yes, for some reason, vaccines have a special little gold pedestal in their minds. I don't know why -- ask them. Ask yourself. You all don't make sense to me.

I tried to get one from CVS and wasn’t allowed.

No because you have the ability to make me sick. If you don't want to get vaccinated, go live in a commune.

Unfortunately, I think we will have to see a reemergence of awful diseases before people start realizing that vaccines save lives. In another 20 years there will be very few people alive who remember the horrors prior to vaccines. Fortunately they were the wise generation who, with the power of herd immunity, were successful in eradicating smallpox. With the uneducated population today, if something like smallpox were to reemerge it would be absolutely devastating.

Hopefully, medical schools will bring in some training on these formerly-rare symptoms. Doctors need to know what the disease looks like in children so it can be treated.

Vaccines have a special place because for many people that is their only interaction with medicine. They see the baby cry. Or in the case of childless adults, they had to endure that pain themselves, the horror.

It's like the focus on food dye. Kind of suspicious that the thing everyone can see is the culprit, when there are so many substances we consume that we can't spot with the naked eye.

Swindlers always pick common denominators and easy conversation starters.
