Unfortunately, I think we will have to see a reemergence of awful diseases before people start realizing that vaccines save lives. In another 20 years there will be very few people alive who remember the horrors prior to vaccines. Fortunately they were the wise generation who, with the power of herd immunity, were successful in eradicating smallpox. With the uneducated population today, if something like smallpox were to reemerge it would be absolutely devastating.   [/quote]
