Noem on Padilla: We had a conversation with the senator after this. We sat down for 10 to 15 minutes and talked about the fact that nobody knew who he was. He didn't say who he is until he was already had been lunging forward, and people were trying to detain him for quite a period of time..And if he had requested a meeting, I would have loved to have sat down and had a conversation with him, that coming into a press conference like this as political theater, it's wrong and it does a disservice to this country

I watched the video. He identified himself and asked a question, and instantly started getting shoved and manhandled by security for no plausible reason. Maybe you only saw the edited-down FOX News version.

He did not identify himself until he already started moving aggressively toward the podium. At that point the SS had not choice but to remove him.

I think YOU saw the edited version that his aide took. Which makes me wonder why the aide didn’t intervene and tell SS who the crazy man was. Maybe they wanted a viral moment to show that Padilla is “pushing back against this administration.”
