DHS: Senator Padilla chose disrespectful political theatre and interrupted a live press conference without identifying himself or having his Senate security pin on as he lunged toward Secretary Noem.
Mr. Padilla was told repeatedly to back away and did not comply with officers’ repeated commands. The Secret Service thought he was an attacker and officers acted appropriately. Secretary Noem met with Senator Padilla after and held a 15 minute meeting |
He’s acted like an unprofessional jerk. |
The Secret Service were unprofessional. The video, both short and long, do not support any of their behavior. Noen is not a god, nor was she in danger inside the building. They roughed up a senator. This won't blow over. |
Now trump’s thugs are manhandling US Senators! It’s so sad how quickly Trump has taken away our country, our rule of law and norms. |
this. |
Are we all ready to hear uneducated MAGAs spew FOX lies at us to defend this in 3...2....1 |
Remember the Republican disrespect to Obama’s SOTU and Biden’s SOTU?? Yelling insults during the SOTU is immeasurably more disrespectful than asking questions at a press conference! No one was body slammed then. |
He clearly identifies himself in the video? |
She is a total embarrassment....the reason she had him thrown out is because she's uneducated and completely incompetent. She can't answer simple questions. Trump wanted her because she won't question him and she is a yes woman....unbelievable what we are seeing in AMERICA right now. |
Clearly MAGA has their talking points now. Sadly for them, the actual video of the event doesn't support their false claims. |
I have to say I have enjoyed seeing some democrats get some backbone this week. |
This kind of impunity by law enforcement is going to lead to a tragedy.
Trump and MAGA will be surprised how quickly things can change. You just never know what triggers a population. Gaddafi never in a million years expected the self immolation of a Tunisian fruit vendor would lead to being sodomized with a bayonet before being executed by unhappy Libyans a few months later. |
