I would but I have a toddler who is a runner and my husband is out of town on a business trip. I'm with you in spirit, though. |
I just looked at CNN and NBC online to see how these protests are going and was surprised to see no news about it. |
The news organizations are scared to anger Trump let’s be honest. |
I think it's more like a movement isn't built in a day. I went to the Women's March in 2017. You know what came out of it? Nothing. On the upside I didn't feel like the government was going to send violent goons to attack us, and I didn't fear for my job when I posted pictures on social media. For me to get out in the streets this time the bar is higher. I need to know exactly what policy or law is being protested and how elected officials intend to act on my behalf/in my interest. Just being angry isn't a strategy. |
Its such a weird civil war amongst the democrats. Dems are burning Teslas that were bought primarily by other Dems who smugly bought Teslas to demonstrate their Green cred. Weird. |
Hamas got some fancy hang gliders out of it. |
I am not surprised at all. Their coverage of any protests has been mostly non existent. |
If you’re still checking CNN you have revealed your age. |
https://www.cnn.com/2025/04/05/us/hands-off-protests-trump-musk/index.html Had no plans of going but getting of my couch in bucks county PA to go |
CNN covered the protests in Atlanta |
Interesting....guess this explains why there was a group of 15 Boomers with anti-Tesla/Musk signs randomly standing on the main street in my town today. |
You misspelled "Europeans". |
I saw Citizen's app footage of the DC protest and it was shocking to see not a single person of color there. Zero diversity. All white people. Mostly older or middle aged with a few younger ones. The only person of color I saw was a jogger who paid little interest to what was happening and kept running along. Should tell you something. It really looked like a crowd of people who are financially comfortable and just wanted to hang out and unite with each other on their grievances. |
