Missing college student in the Dominican Republic from Ashburn

If he was passed out on the beach, anything could have happened to her. He wouldn’t need to orchestrate it.

Yes. 24 years old. Really don't think he orchestrated a kidnapping. Just stinking drunk and dumb.

He wiped his internet presence very quickly.

His lawyer probably told him to. He's the next Joran Vandersloot.

This seems likely. He has reportedly offered more than 1 story, never a good sign.

Yeah I don’t buy that he thought she made it out of the water.
I think she drowned and he was either too drunk to notice before it was too late or he was passed out.

Either way, he didn’t come screaming for help because she was already gone and he didn’t know what to do. I don’t think he killed her but I do think this will haunt him!

Not good friends at all. Either dimwits or drunk or both. Very sketchy, stupid behavior.

Have you ever tried to reason with a drunk person?

If the legal drinking age was lowered to 18, young college kids wouldn't need to flee the US to do their binge drinking during spring break.

I agree with this.

Yes. I get it. So some stay with her and the rest go get help.

How about learning to have fun without being drunk?

Pretty much every young woman on spring break right now.

I know I did this exact same thing multiple times at her age.

What, did you want her friends to stand around in a circle while she hooked up with the guy to make sure she was safe? She was a 20 year old adult woman. She made a choice. Unfortunately, it was a bad one.

The choice to go at all was bad. Her parents never should have let her go. And yes, they could stop her. I am SURE they are paying her school tuition and expenses.

Why shouldn't she go? Never mind whether they could stop her or not.

Because she lacks the ability to make good decisions. Like not swimming drunk in the dark.

!1 Very basic good decisions.

Per CNN the man has told several versions of what happened / when he last saw her. At 24 he is likely not a college student there on spring break?

Hey, why stop at 18? Maybe 16? 15?

This. And how about parents stop funding these drunken escapades.

He’s from Iowa.

It all reminds me so much of Natalee Holloway.
