Dp here. I did not know her mom died, and so recently. That could definitely explain it. I went to a funeral a few months after my dad’s and it was like reliving the whole thing. Can’t imagine being in that situation on national tv and having everything I do/say picked apart. And having to deal with Trump.

Good grief, she is a private citizen with agency to choose and manage her calendar. I didn't realize she recently lost her mom; that's a huge blow. Maybe she's still grieving, having personal problems, battling illness, or just not in the mood to go and deal with the media. She is entitled to live her life and choose where and when she shows up. No one needs an official reason, or any reason.

Its not like a dead person cares who attended their funeral and who didn't. We make funerals a bigger deal than they ought to be. I would prefer for people to take it easy instead of arranging a funeral for me.
