Why couldn't she just sat on the other side of BO, next to L Bush? Is MO okay? she had been vocal about her "low grade depression" during pandemic. I don't think sitting next to Trump was the issue for her missing the funeral. She could've insisted on sitting somewhere else. Or she could've sat next to Trump and ignored him.

If it really was as simple as "I don't want to sit next to that guy," and she felt that was more important than attending Carter's funeral (!), I think that would show some weakness/pettiness on her part.

But I think it's bigger than that. Maybe she's just had it with the whole DC thing. My best to Michelle Obama, she was an awesome First Lady and I hope she's well!
