sigh.

No, pp is correct. Look at some labels of food you are buying at the grocery store. It’s not even real food anymore. You will feel better if you eat natural foods. Start by making small changes and you will see.

You are annoying. Correct. But annoying.

That’s ok. Enjoy your corn syrup and soybean oil treats.

This is true. We remember all of this fondly because they were treats. Rare treats.

I had strawberry quik as an adult and it's still good.

Ummm, did you not see that I said you were correct? I don't eat corn syrup and soybean oil treats.

When I said you were annoying, I was referring to your tone, not your content. The kind of tone that makes people dislike you. I see you chose to dig in, there.

Oh my. Now you need to buy them and have a taste test with her.
I have let my teens try tang, ovaltine, twinkies. They mostly hate everything. It's possible that my cooking is so much better but also that these things don't taste as good as I remember! 😂😂😂

Twinkies are not the same.

Is it the Twinkies that changed? I used to love Ho-hos, but I bought some a few years back, and nope. Not delicious.

I made sloppy joes yesterday, before I saw this. I have a kid who loves them. Add a little fish sauce to bump up the umami.

Oooh, that's a good hack! I use Worcestershire sauce which is very similar.

Worcestershire sauces is fish sauce.

Worcestershire sauce is a sauce that contains fish. Fish sauce is a specific Asian condiment.

Worcestershire sauce is a fish sauce. It is a sauce made from fermented fish. You think "fish sauce" is "a specific Asian condiment" because that is what Americans who know nothing of the diversity of condiments made from fermented fish think.

Tater tots and fish sticks and Campbells soup

I loved these growing up but I don’t see it around anymore

Liver and onions is another thing I grew up with eating weekly and don’t see around anymore.

Liver is actually really healthy and good for women who need iron

Chicken à la king
Doritos and Cheez Whiz
Iceberg lettuce salads
Toast covered with milk gravy for breakfast
Shake n’ bake
Specifically the Mexican-themed Hamburger Helpers
Yoo-hoo chocolate drinks
Strawberry Quick
Little Debbie anything

I regularly use iceberg lettuce for our salads. I did the mixed greens for many years but we really love the crunch of the iceberg lettuce (or romaine) so that is what we typically have now. I don't think the nutritional difference is that big. FWIW- I am an experienced cook and we are healthy eaters. We always have at least one vegetable as well as a salad with dinner.

Jello, I still love it with a scoop of cool whip.

My mom used to buy the kind with the hot dog pieces in it. I remember liking it, but I would never feed that to my kids now!

Pudding pops. I miss them

I used to love Hamburger Helper as a kid. Three Cheese was my favorite. Made it one night a few years ago and it was really bad! I also agree with the person who said Beanie Weenies. That was a legit dinner meal when I was a kid but nobody makes that now. I feel like meatloaf isn’t common either??

I bet you’re SO fun at parties!…

…if by chance you ever get invited to any.

No one wants to go to your parties with garbage American foods like pigs in a blanket, deviled eggs, potato salad, and any variant of a dip. You might as well be holding a conagra or campells stock holder convention because all you have at your parties are nasty ultra processed American foods.

Actually pigs in a blanket and deviled eggs are still a hit. My kids are obsessed.

Wow I ate that ALL THE TIME. Soooo gross. I liked the ravioli ones and can't believe I ever ate those.

80s and 90s here but similar. My mom was a vegetarian, organic only hippie who gave us carob bars instead of chocolate so I can never really share in this kind of food nostalgia. I guess I had a few things at friends houses, I remember thinking wonder bread was like a food from the Gods.
