This. I hated him when he was a democrat too. His entire life has been about taking advantage of people for his own gain.

Same here. Pre 2016 he was just a crooked irritating business man I could ignore because I didn't live in NY.

"The Apprentice" and "Celebrity Apprentice" ran for 14 seasons with him hosting. Renewed for 13 seasons. I guess someone liked him!

I had no idea the shows ran that long.

Why is the sky blue?

It's his moral principles.

Personally, although I oppose him, I don't share in the hate that most have toward him. While I think he's really egomaniacal to a fault and really disgusting in terms of his ethics and habits - I do think that someone who you deplore personally can still do a great job in a certain kind of role.

I'm not convinced as POTUS you can separate morality from leadership however. But I truly get why some would prefer him to be President again. If he wasn't as nasty as a person I could be swayed. Esp running against Biden.

I think he benefits from being a non politician and a businessman by trade. I don't know that he really is a good businessman but that's his world. The instincts and decisions he's made whether he's good or not, he knows that process and in that sense he'll always be more practical than a politician. It's just the world he lives in. So on immigration and a lot if Econ it's very cut and dry whether agree or disagree with him. Personally I think we could use a bit more of practicality in our approach in balancing the issues we've got going on. It's not a good look for foreign policy however.

My guess is that Biden will win. I'm not entirely happy about that but I do think he'll pull through because Trump has been called out on his past and it's his time to pay his price for his sins in a manner of speaking. I think his time is over and ultimately if all we have is Biden he will win on default. We are in for pain no matter which guy wins though!

He's not a businessman, he's a superior salesman. Slimy and garbage but he knows how to connect with people before he tears them down to satisfy his deviant narcissistic needs. His business is nothing more than trickery and cooked books. It's stunning to me how many people think he's in any way suited for the White House. Or leading the most powerful country on earth. The ultimate sales con.

As one of Trump’s mobster pals said of him once, “He’d lie to you about what time of day it is - just for the practice.”

Everyone within a few states of NY knew he was a slimeball his whole life. Sorry people who enjoy “reality” tv about a mean guy tearing down others for a fake prize appealed to people elsewhere though, yeah.

First of all, I liked Trump's agenda. Secondly, he did no damage. YUP... not with your idiotic linkages of J6 to him either, because they don't exist in reality. Just like no Russia collusion either.

If he was behind the intrusion into the Capitol, he sure as hell would NOT have offered the National Guard to Nancy Pelosi and Muriel Bowser days before it happened, which he did IN WRITING and they turned down because of "optics".

OTOH, Joe Biden was in the Senate for 36 years plus VP for 8 years and now president constantly finger f'n the U.S. He's done tremendous damage to the U.S. with his ridiculous ideologies. He's been wrong on every major foreign policy he's been involved in, he's economically illiterate and a third rate politican, which is what democrats love; someone to stir hatred between races and groups and consolidate power while working hard to take down the U.S. because of "colonialism" hundreds of years ago. Bravo, we'll be a second tier country soon and that'll make you happy, I'm sure.

Ok, regarding J6: First of all, it all happened because of Trump's nonstop lies about the 2020 election. Remember this tweet: "Big protest in D.C. on January 6th...Be there, will be wild!" If he had called for a protest on January 5th or January 7th there would have been no attack on a joint session of Congress.

Then as the riot was in progress he refused to exercise his powers to stop it as he was too busy watching it on TV. He refused to even condemn the violence. When (after three hours) he finally did tell the rioters to go home, he also told them "we love you, you're very special." He saw the rioters as his people because they *were* his people.

Finally, about Pelosi and the National Guard...

the producers totally manufactured his persona, hence why people who watched the show actually believed he was a good businessman. Bottom line, he needed the money from the show to even be remotely solvent.

Oh stop. He's charismatic. Anything I tell you, you'll reject. Whatever. I like him. Can't wait for him to be re-elected and unscrew everything Biden has screwed up - the economy, unchecked immigration, turmoil all over the world.

Ew. Speak for yourself. Most of us only think about him because he’s one party’s nominee and there’s going to be an election.

Seriously? He’s a man baby who’s tanked every business he started even while ripping off contractors and evading taxes. I feel so sorry for you if you genuinely like him. I wish you had better role models growing up.

No, I'm pretty sure he lives rent-free in your head and will for the rest of your life, regardless of his status as a presidential candidate.
