The UK was broken and left the entire EU in large part to a number of illegal immigrants equivalent to what the US gets in only a few months. We get the most illegal immigrants in the world and people are sick and tired of it. No country in earth can sustain its sovereignty and benefits for its own citizens when there are more illegal immigrants per year flowing in than some states have for entire populations. The only thing voters ever hear from Democrats is that they'll double down on more illegal immigration. How well did that idea work out in the UK?

It’s not working out well for the UK so far. They have tried all sorts of things. The most ridiculous was probably their deportation attempt to Rwanda even for people who are citizens of other countries, not Rwanda.

But yes, the EU is strained under the pressures caused by the immigration of ~ 250,000 per year (total number of last year) to the entire Union. The United States (granted, larger) had 11,000 in one day yesterday by land to TX. You can do the math and I’m not aware of the total from last year, but I think we have a multiple of what the EU has.

Ukrainians have not been persecuted by their own government, so they do not qualify for any of the asylum claims. Being refugee does not qualify you to receive an asylum. There is. no current pathway to green card (like with asylum) for refugees from Ukraine who either crossed the border illegally or entered with parole under U4U.
