Ya know like a marriage?!

Have you seen their TikTok accounts? Probably not because you're probably more normal than I am, but I have seen them, and let me tell you they seemed like a really, really fun couple. Of course that was curated but they did a lot of fun stuff together.

I’m PP. In retrospect my post above wasn’t fair to her because he is the one saying that she’s a partier. Even if she is going out, she’s 27!! Who wouldn’t want to go out at 27?! I don’t have TikTok. But he sounds like a drag. If he is fun then he is doing a smear campaign on her.

DP. Obviously I don't know them (I haven't even seen their TikToks, lol). But based just on what I do know, this really seems like a situation where a guy married a gorgeous, talented, successful, young, fun woman, and then tried to put her in a nice confined box so only he could enjoy her. The timing of their marital problems, rumors he wanted more kids even though she clearly doesn't (and is soooo young -- there is no reason for them to have another kid right now when she could definitely have a kid in 6 or 7 years if they decided they wanted more), and then the extremely biased press leaks about her being a partier and painting him as a dutiful father and primary parent when she was home with the kids for actual years before filming this show in the UK. The whole think makes me feel icky. He seems very controlling and scared of Sophie having freedom or independence.

This is how I feel about Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, except it seems to be working (so far, anyway).

Oh I don't get this vibe from Blake and Ryan at all. It feels like she kind of runs that relationship more than he does, and I think a lot of their choices (including all their kids and where they choose to live) were driven by her vision for their family. He works more than she does, but she does some very high profile stuff and he is always suuuuuper supportive in a very visible way on it, like when she co-chaired the Met Ball. She also developed her own product via his beverage company and she's been very forward about promoting it and he seems supportive. I don't get that "please just stay home and be quiet and pop out more babies for me" vibe from him the way I very much do from Joe Jonas.

Reynolds and Lively have the similar star status. Jonas is some boy band guy that only certain people know. Turner is a far better known star than he is. I don’t get the sense Lively or Reynolds married down. You do with Turner, she married down.

I had never heard of her until they got married. I’ve heard of him for years. No idea the dynamics of their relationship, but I don’t know why everyone assumes he is the only one in the wrong here.

I mean the middle of the Venn diagram of people who care about the Jonas Brothers and people who care about Game of Thrones is a sliver, if it exists at all. Sophie Turner is absolutely as famous as Joe Jonas. FWIW she has more ig followers than he does.

Not many more followers though. They’re pretty even.

My point is that PP is wrong in their assumption that an a list rock star married some z list actress. They're equally as famous.

I was going to say this -- I think being married to Ryan Reynolds adds to Blake's star status. They are this super A-list gorgeous match. And now a beautiful family too.

Joe Jonas - can't imagine what if anything he would do for Sophie's career.

He’s worth $50 million. She’s worth $10 million.

But he’s a hobbit. She is more famous. I don’t know who the Jonas brothers are aside from some dumb boy band. She could do better than Mr Bilbao.

Agree. Other than "Sucker" I can't even name another song.

I just googled them. Not even a has been boy band that millennials love. Worse! Former Disney star kids. No wonder I could not remotely name a song of theirs.

Yea, well, with their combined net worth of $150 million plus I doubt they give a shit what you think.

Are you kidding? Everything they do every day is to make people like them. They care very much what the average person thinks.

To be fair, they first peaked with the late-Millenial/early-Gen-Z demographic. They were several years removed from the boy band craze of the late-90s.

Yes, I’m a GenXer and my GenZ kids (in HS) have zero idea who they are but I didn’t let them watch Disney tv shows as children.

So what was on the Ring camera??

I bet you $100 it was her coming home at 3am from a party or something equally as innocuous. He's not taking the high road. If she was cheating or something actually bad he would be running his mouth about it.

Disagree. He went straight to filing and initially response was very ugly.

There was another dude with her.

^ and I’m sure she swears nothing happened. Just a friend.

Well, even though celebrity breakups are never a surprise. This one sounds like a PR stunt.

You have an extremely bad eye for PR. Please never go into any kind of public relations role or one that requires an understanding of social dynamics

Celebrity use dating, marriage, conflict, babies, divorce etc etc for staying in news all the time. Anyways, there are two babies involved so hoping for a positive outcome for them.

LOL. They dont engage in a deliberately messy divorce against another popular celeb for PR- that's more like PR suicide. I take it youve never held a PR job, have you?

What a coincidence, Jones parents had all 4 boys, no daughters, but they have all 5 girls, no sons. Mama Jones got to enjoy buying girly stuff.

I think it was more likely he overheard her trash talking him.

He saw something on a Ring camera? I would think they have security people and sophisticated security cameras, not the same old Ring system that regular people have.

He doesn't seem very thick-skinned. As soon as she stepped out of the role he'd set for her, he lost it. He wanted her out of the limelight.

I don't think she cheated or did anything else that would normally prompt a divorce.

Not wanting to have another baby or hoping to get back to work are not punishable offenses. Whatever it was, they had a lifetime to work it out. He discarded her because she didn't fit the mold.

I pray she doesn't lose either her children or livelihood opportunities in this disaster.
