Sophie will enroll the kids in school in the UK and can show that they have a regular home. Same school, same house every time they go to the UK. Like clockwork.

Meanwhile, JJ is shuttling the girls every two weeks to a new city - his world tour goes deep into 2024.

By the time his tour is done, the girls will have established a routine in the UK and that will lead to them being tied to the school year in the UK.

Checkmate, Joe.

Those kids are not being enrolled anywhere for 2 weeks each month. Both parents will hire someone to take care of the kids at home. There is no winning by or checkmate of anybody.

+1. Willa won't start K for two more years.

In the UK (and much of Europe) it’s fairly standard for kids to start preschool (nursery) at age 3.

Willa already started attending preschool when they were in England earlier this year. It would be odd for her to stop now.

She started in April and was done by June because she's bee in the US since then. We'll see how that is actually view in mediation. But Joe and Sophie are certainly signaling via their statements that they have the broad strokes resolved. But if the kids are educated in the UK exclusively, its because Joe agreed.

Poor girls - ages 1 and 3 and having to do 8 hour flights every two weeks.

The only chance these kids have of growing up to be semi-functional humans is if one of their parents does a Jennifer Garner and gives up their profession for the sake of the kids.

Two busy traveling parents can manage to create a somewhat stable life (with the help of nannies and grandparents) if they stay married, but very little chance if they are divorced. Don’t forget, they will now start to think of their dating lives.

I do think it’s selfish of both of them to place the travel burden on the children. I hope that part gets reworked for the children’s sake. A parent should be prepared to make sacrifices for the sake of their young children, not the other way around.

For some reason paparazzi photos of these two keep showing up on my Instagram page and I almost wish it’s being more widely reported (after all the drama with everything regarding this divorce especially) that it looks like Sophie has been flying back to NYC during her two weeks with the girls - she’s not having them fly to the UK.

Are the girls allowed to return to the UK at this point?

Yes, I believe they are allowed to. I imagine they’re keeping the girls in NYC for stability and that Sophie will take them to the UK for Christmas. Looks like she’s still using Taylor Swift’s apartment.

So it appears they DO own an apartment in NYC, but they are now selling it: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.hollywoodreporter.com/lifestyle/real-estate/joe-jonas-sophie-turner-list-new-york-apartment-1235634695/amp/

I guess that's where Joe has been staying? But I guess not moving forward.

I'm curious how the money will work out in the divorce. Joe entered the marriage with a lot more assets, but they've bought and sold a number of high dollar properties in the 4 years they've been married, and presumably those proceeds would be considered marital property. Combine that with the cost/complexity of maintaining homes for the kids in two continents, and I think allocation of assets and child support could be very challenging contentious here.

Sophie spills it all to Vogue. Brutal read.

'I mean, those were the worst few days of my life,' she told Vogue recently. 'There were some days that I didn’t know if I was going to make it.

'I would call my lawyer saying, "I can’t do this. I just can’t." I was just never strong enough to stand up for myself.

'And then, finally, after two weeks of me being in a rut, she reminded me that it was my children I was fighting for.

'Once anyone says to me, "Do it for your kids," I’m doing it. I wouldn’t do it for myself, but I’ll find the strength for them.'

At the time, Sophie was in the U.K. filming the TV show Joan, while Joe and their two daughters, Willa, four, and Delphine, one, were in the US.

'I was contracted to be on set for another two weeks, so I couldn’t leave. My kids were in the States and I couldn’t get to them because I had to finish Joan. And all these articles started coming out…' the star trailed off.

After the news hit the web, rumors erupted that they had split because Sophie was partying too much - especially after snaps of her enjoying a wild night out with her costars just days before Joe filed began to circulate.

'It hurt because I really do completely torture myself over every move I make as a mother – mom guilt is so real,' continued Sophie.

She has rebounded seriously well.

She was quickly dating other people, out partying, cavorting about the US with the kids. The belief on here that all that she wanted and what Joe refused to do was to settle down in their English village where the girls would never miss a day of nursery and they could be homebodies couldn’t be farther from the reality of the life she has lived the last year. People’s perception of her was waaaay off.

You can’t use her behavior in one situation to predict what her behavior would have been in another completely different situation.

We haven’t heard a peep from either one of them since.
