You can see her stop, open the car door, and walk behind the car to the passenger side. This makes me wonder if she said, “Are you OK” before she got out of the car or once she got to the other side of the car (assuming she rolled the passenger-side window down enabling the person on the phone to hear).

It’s sooo grainy, but you can see something going on at the passenger side of the car. Man, whatever happened was damn fast.

Also, there was no freaking second car anywhere. This was an animal or a person (or persons) doing something nefarious on the side of the highway.

At 1:49/1:50 you can see a person a few steps ahead of the passenger side of the car. They might be disposing of something or walking from the woods. It’s difficult to tell, but it looks like they are walking toward the car.

If you pause the video at 59 seconds when the hazards blink off, it looks like there are three people. Someone in front of car—presumably Carlee, a person near the rear of the passenger side, and someone a few steps to the right of vehicle.

I don’t see it.

:59 is a second or two after she gets out and walks behind her car. To me, it looks like she’s standing at the passenger side of her car. That’s said, I could entertain that someone else opened her driver-side door to force her out.

The weird thing about this moment is that there are 5 cars approaching with headlights on whatever is happening. It’s hard to believe the drivers saw nothing.

Looked again and it’s only two people. The person at the back of the car is not Carlee. She gets out of the driver side and walks to to the front (assuming she was the person driving). There is something to the right of the vehicle that looks like it could be a person but it’s still there past the three minute mark so it’s a stationary object.

PP, I’ve watched this part of the video an embarrassing number of times. There is absolutely no way you can see someone walk in front of the car. I see one person (Carlee) get out and immediately walk behind the car to the passenger side. After that, the person stands there at the passenger side for a while. You can see some movement there…and then (seconds later) you can see a person moving a few steps ahead of the passenger side of the vehicle.

That’s about it.

Agree completely.

Why are people saying she ran away? She's an adult. She can drive somewhere far away and pay for hotels herself. What would be her motive to stage this?

Exactly. And she was being takeout home for her and her mother BOTH. If you were planning to runaway, wouldn’t you make up a story why you would be busy that night to give yourself some lead time? Not make dinner plans with your mom?

Have they released the 911 call? Do they know for certain that she was actually driving that car?

I feel like upon discovering a toddler, my question would not be “Are you okay?” That is something I might ask an incapacitated adult. “Where is your Mommy or where do you live?” seems more likely.

Unconfirmed reports on the Reddit page that police are descending on a red roof inn.

I'm not sure I believe the conversation between the brother's girlfriend and Carlee. Did the girlfriend get confused and perhaps mis-intrepret what Carlee was saying about a kid on the side of the road? I assume cell phone records can prove the phone call took place.

Who called 911? And was that to report a wandering kid or was 911 called bc Carlee was heard screaming?

So what you are saying is that if you think about it, the fact that she had made plans with people and was bringing food with her makes you think with some certainty that this could not have been set up, right? It *definitely* doesn't look staged because of that -- is that correct?

Hopefully there will be a resolution soon, and with an unharmed and alive young woman.

Same PP. Of course you can take this to absurdity about anyone. But I can tell you with some certainty that if you want to hang up on someone without pissing them off, the very best way to do it is in the middle of your own spoken sentence. Because, of course, they will assume it's real.

Anyway. Best wishes for a good outcome.

The police radio is reporting that family members received a call from Carlee from the Red Roof Inn.
