Swoon! She is stunning. Love everything about the look

The black knee high socks and loafers are jarring

You do know it's a traditional outfit right? It's like b$itching about Santa's red suit or the Pope's robes.

Or the robes and crowns at the coronation?

Or alllll the kilts, worn with even more ridiculous footwear accoutrements.

Don't knock the kilts.

Agree! Who is this fellow? I love the whole getup.

I like the kilts but I feel like the ridiculous robes worn by the royal family just underscores how antiquated and irrelevant this whole system is. Kate’s is so over the top with the ribbons and flag colors that it looks like a parrot oiece. It’s like ridiculous cosplay … but real. None of this is making me regret the revolution, that’s for sure. And I think if I were a commonwealth citizen I would really be wondering about this whole system’s relevance.

Kilts are hot and so is the Bhutan guy's dress.

Her headpiece was so gorgeous.

The Significance: Middleton also demonstrated that she's always capable of surprising her fans with her fashion choices. She eschewed the predictions that she would wear a traditional tiara to the coronation, and instead, chose a silver headpiece by Jess Collett x Alexander McQueen, featuring embroidery work of rose, thistle, daffodil, and shamrock symbolizing the four nations of the UK.

100% agree - gorgeous.

Camilla wouldn’t allow the other women to wear tiaras being afraid she’d be upstaged, Camilla seems very jealous of Kate and it’s been reported that Camilla is snobby toward her.

How do you know this?

Perfection.

Such a thoughtfully prepared outfit. I had forgotten how much I love that shade of purple and pairing it with the turquoise? color,

+1
This was one of my favorites. That purple/turquoise combo is divine.

I agree, this is lovely. Who are these people?

Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark.

If like me you wanted to see the whole thing it’s here:

Princess Mary has definitely found the fountain of youth. Wow.

+1 Perfection. This is what she wore to a pre-coronation event. Note the turquoise on her purse and belt!

Okay, so the undisputed winners of the thread are queen of Bhutan, purple dress lady, and hot kilt man, who is giving us all putlander season 1 flashbacks.

There is absolutely no indication that this is true, just you spewing your usual garbage. Please stop. It's been cited several times that this coronation was slightly less "formal" than previous ones, and none of the other women wore tiaras because of that.

White women are pretty and youthful til age 35 then it's downhill from there and then they can't believe a minority of the same age looks younger than them

Crown Princess Mary would beg to differ.

+1
Lots of beautiful women would beg to differ. Just report the race-baiting troll.

Kate’s headpiece looked cheap and fake. Charlotte’s was better, but the hood aged her and did not look good. She’s 8 right, not 18? Let her look her age!

You know modern dress socks and shoes are not part of the traditional gho right? These shoes might have been impractical but they would have gone with the outfit more (from their wedding)

I think she had their dogs embroidered on her dress.

I really feel for her. Imagine being a 70 year old woman and having everything you do be wrong for 40 years.

She never claimed to be some fashion maven or classic beauty. And people hate her for that (yes other things as well).

She was dressed appropriately. That’s all that matters.

I hadn't noticed the dogs on her dress! Oh, I really love that. Here's more: https://www.townandcountrymag.com/society/tradition/a43814349/queen-camilla-coronation-gown-rescue-dogs/

I find this odd and rather childish, but yet I am on board with it! Why not embroider what she likes the most?

Childish and not appropriate for the event.

Color scheme is very Snow White - do they have to wear red and blue?
