You're a special kind of stupid. Reddit isn't "news" and nobody represents it as such. Reddit is social commentary. And in this case, check the name of the subreddit... it's "R/FACEPALM." Facepalm all yours now, too. |
Check the data. It's a fact that after the George Floyd protests and during the pandemic, arrests went way down in many cities around the country. In DC, arrests went down by 48%, as crime increased. There is NOTHING in terms of police resourcing that can legitimately account for a 48% decrease in arrests. And as for how police behave, there's a daily barrage of videos showing police behaving inappropriately violent, arrogant, or otherwise belligerent. Police departments would do well to take 5 minutes at the beginning of every shift to show the latest of these videos as a "what not to do if you don't want to become internet famous as an a-hole cop and likely cost your communities millions of taxpayer funded settlements in cases your department is going to lose because of your stupidity." |
