Should Chap Peterson be worried?

NoVa essentially just elected a bunch of rookies like Salim and second-string incompetents who accomplished nothing on the SB, so don’t whine in a year or two when others on the state legislature take advantage of their inexperience.

Nothing like voting for "experienced" politicians just because they’re experienced to ensure we end up with legislative bodies filled with white old men. Chap served his constituents long enough. Time for new faces, new ideas, and new approaches.

+1. Saddam is older than Chap was when he was first elected to office! And Saddam has more community and party experience than Chap had. He will be a great Senator!

That affiliation alone would have doomed his campaign.

Why? I

Because they are evil AF.

I wish the election were held 2 weeks ago and not this week. Summer Vacation started on Friday so a lot of people were out of town. He was a great guy, he did make some mistakes here and there with his votes, but I loved his personality, but he wasn't even on my ballot I had to vote for someone else.

Don't use that excuse. We have 45 days of early voting. Don't blame the system because you're too lazy.

Low turnout is the fault of the campaigns, not Summer Vacation. It is the job of each political candidate to get people to come and vote for their candidates. If the candidates arent compelling enough to get someone to take the time to vote, thats not the fault of the voters.

Look at how many Republicans came out to vote in this election. Pat Herrity did a great job drumming up his base to come out and vote for Nuttal. Not enough people, clearly, since Descano won, but the point remains.

Nah, he represented the company that towed my legally parked friends. Honestly don't care otherwise.

Democrats voted for Nuttall, too. He is a democrat.

There were more votes cast in the descano vs nuttall race than any other county-wide race. So yes, a few more than 5.

To be fair the old State Senate Districts were a severe Democrat Gerrymander so when a Independent Commission redraws them they're going to change significantly.

It happens every ten years following the census. There was actually a vote about the redistricting commission during a recent election. Try paying attention.
