It had to be a less exciting / traumatic episode generally to counterbalance the extremities of the last one with Henry & Sam dying. I thought the utopian town was perfect to create that balance. I'm surprised they didn't stay longer. But then that would have been boring and off track. |
I was surprised that Joel wanted and asked Tommy to go without him. I get that Joel doesn't want to get attached, but this is your brother who now has a good life and a baby on the way. |
He didn’t do it to mess Joel’s life up. He did it because he doubts he can get the girl to where she needs to be - safely. |
In the game, Tommy was a firefly and still had contact with them. That's the main reason Joel wanted Tommy to take Ellie. |
She literally didnt age a single day haha. True Blood was early 2000s. |
And clearing a room full of clickers? Climb over walls to power up generators? |
Worst episode yet, such a bore. Bella Ramsey isn’t strong enough to carry an episode, and Storm Reid was surprisingly weak too. |
I agree, and honestly think they should have cut this one. |
Wow really? I thought Bella Ramsey was exceptional this episode. |
I do like zombie shows in malls, though. One of my favorite movies was the ORIGINAL Dawn of the Dead. The remake with Ving Rahmes wasn't bad, but I saw the original Dawn of the Dead in the mall and that's what make me into a zombie movie fan.
I do agree that Bella and Storm's chemistry was ... off. I'm trying to figure out what it is about Bella's physical features that are strange. |
The flashback wasn’t important enough to carry an entire episode. That episode was probably 25 minutes too long. |
I agree that this was the worst episode yet of the season, but all shows have one of these. Bella Ramsey was great as Ellie, but she proved herself to be a weak, immature, annoying character. You'd think someone who was born and raised in an apocalypse would be mature, but she was terrible.
One plot loophole - isn't there a Firefly protocol for getting bit by the infected? Riley's plan is to go infect all the FEDRA people? You'd think the Fireflies would have a rule - you get infected and you kill yourself or die somehow, or it's easier and better for them to spread the fungus among their enemy and Riley SHOULD go back to camp, hoping to wake up sick. |
It's her eyes and eyebrows. They are too far apart. |
+1 I liked the flashback but it was too long. |
Soooo boring. Again.
Why are reviewers saying this is like the greatest TV ever? It's just a bunch of loud fan bois who scream about this show the loudest and who try to drown out criticism. This show is a 6-7 out of 10 at best. There's just way, wayyyy too much filler and long periods where nothing substantial happens. People who watch the show weekly probably have decent enough intermissions between episodes to forget how boring this show is, but watch when all episodes are finally available and you can binge the season back to back. It will be brutal going for 2-3+ hour stretches where almost nothing happens. |
