The $ piece seems very hinky. Would people so young really have another kid with minimal and uncertain income from "sponsors" or was something else in play?

Most pregnancies, believe it or not, are unplanned. Or the "plan" is whatever will be will be, and is practiced by married and unmarried couples, wealthy, middle class and poor...it is less stigmatized if you are married, white, young and employed.
