This “dad” sounds like a crap parent and person all-around.

He is the breadwinner, he probably doesn’t deal much with the kids day to day and didn’t really understand the logistics about dealing with a severe allergy.

I think going back and yelling is understandable, it was the throwing and immigrant remarks that reveal his true nature that are problematic. Did he tell them his son was in the hospital, that would have garnered sympathy from a bunch of teenage girls I’m sure.

Those saying a smoothie is not assault, it could have easily damaged her eyes, it was aimed at her face.

Oh F off with your “he’s the breadwinner so he doesn’t know how to take care of his kid and their allergy”. That’s bs and misogynistic and you know it. You are part of the problem.

How do we know he's the breadwinner? Maybe his wife is bringing in 5M a year and he's the loser of the family!

If that were true, he wouldn’t have behaved the way he did.

As someone who has had her kid's life threatened, you would be surprised at what your reactions could be. You just don't know- truly, my husband is the most peaceful, non bro-type and even he was tempted to get physically aggressive.

However 1) the racial slurs come out because they are there in the first place.

2) I don't understand why these girls are heros. It was smart to video, and obvious that they shouldn't let their friends be called racial slurs.
It actually seemed to me the one girl escalated the situation. Not that I would expect that much more from a teen, but she did.

"I want to speak the f..ing person that made this drink..."

And the teens esalated it? Lol. Ok sure.

Maybe, just maybe, young POC are getting tired of being a doormat for these privileged boorish men who think their money shields them from recourse.

Reddit says it had peanuts in it, which his son is allergic too. So probably a mixed up order.

We have a peanut allergy in family, I can definitely see getting upset about a mix up if my son drank it and felt sick, but these things do happen.

At risk of being attacked — I can sort of empathize with him. Peanut allergies are no joke.

It would have been one thing to come in and just plain scream profanities. But this POS went on a violent and racist tirade. There is no sympathy for him.

I agree. It would have been uncool to come yell profanities and want the number to corporate. but the racist part and the throwing crossed a line.

I am NOT saying it was their fault whatsoever. But there were much, much better ways of dealing with it than getting in his face and yelling at him. Also, they seemed pretty blase if that was the beginning of the video - kind of like :"whatever."

The beginning of the video is an angry cussing lunatic yelling at teen fast food workers.

His child went into anaphylactic shock and had to be rushed to the ER because they ignored his instructions not to put peanut butter in the smoothie.

Incorrect. They left the peanut butter out of the smoothie as per his instructions. He said nothing about a deadly peanut allergy, so they didn’t clean out the blender from the last smoothie with peanut butter they made. Really $hitty parenting on his part, he doesn’t know how to deal w his own kids allergy

+1 My son has a nut allergy. It is not enough to say no nuts. You have to tell them it's due to an allergy. Every parent of an allergic kid knows this.

My reaction when reading this was that this is a guy who never orders food for his kid and didn't know he was supposed to tell them about the allergy.

Yep - mom of kid here with peanut allergy. And it's totally BS about the hospital, the hospital would hospitalize for hours in order to decide if they should start treatment or if epipen is enough.

The child’s throat and mouth started swelling up and he needed an epi-pen shot. One shot wasn’t enough and his child collapsed to the ground and couldn’t breathe. They have him another epi-pen shot and he was rushed to the hospital.
Not excusing the guy. What he did was wrong but his child almost died so he went back to the store and lost it.

This is a TOTAL lie. First, he should not have brought his son there and also he should have told them he has a peanut allergy. Hold the PB and no peanuts is not enough. In addition to being a complete a**, he's a horrible dad. When my DC1 had a reaction, we had to stay in the hospital for 4 hours, so there's no way the boy was hospitalized if he came back after 20 minutes. All lies.

If you’re child has a serious peanut allergy you don’t order from a smoothie place. They have signs warning of cross contamination. This is 100% on the dad. He could have called the corporation. He acted terribly. No excuses for him.
