Seriously. The judge rebuked her for alienating Brad from the kids and threatened her with losing custody if she didn't allow the children to see him.

Yet she didn't lose custody and his older kids don't see him. I think she leaned hard into the alienation, absolutely, but I also think he must have done something specific so that only his adopted kids won't forgive him. They younger kids may be closer to their mom, but sounds like they are okay with him.

The default is 50/50 and Brad is rich and powerful. If she didn’t lose custody then there’s no way it’s all from her. I have a friend whose family is worth hundreds of millions of dollars and their dad was (falsely) accused of SA of the kids during their parents contentious divorce and he still got 50/50 custody.

Yes, it's true that even in contentious divorces all the men I know had 50-50 (unless they didn't want it). And California is known for 50-50. But Jolie's own lawyer did sour on her because she was determined to block any and all reunification efforts. It's possible all the kids were deeply alienated, partly because of his own actions and partly because of her, and he decided not to force it. My guess is the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

I find it fascinating that anyone has developed such a detailed theory based on two vague sentences in People that were not uttered by Pitt, Jolie, or any of their children.

What "details". Everything in the report was "alleged" not proven. FBI and US attorney's office decided not to move forward with charges. Probably because nothing could be proven.

There could be plenty of reasons why. But I am not going to guess because I don't know.

Because they were old enough to have his drunken abuse seared in their memories, and are not inclined to forgive him. They also see their mom hasn’t forgiven him, and they follow her lead. Should she have forgiven him and encouraged them to do the same? If he hadn’t taken responsibility for his actions, why should she? And he took that married 20something model to vacation in their home, where they got married? He seems pretty awful, and entitled, to me but glad the younger kids are spending some time with him.
