He sounds like a nightmare, honestly. I think I remember the kids were also interviewed at the time, so I believe her. But it’s hard to imagine public release of the details is in the kids’ best interest. So I don’t know what to think.

This sounds like a good reason not to take a private plane….if your drunk spouse starts yelling about issues with your teen, you basically all are trapped there together. In ordinariy circumstances, this would have happened in a house and you would say “I’m not discussing this when you’re drunk.”
I agree he sounds like a nightmare but it also seems a bit complicated….he maybe had some legitimate concerns about whether she was indulging the teens, Maddox got mad (maybe justifiably) and called him a prick and maybe acted like he was going to take a swing (that was in other reports), Angelina worried Brad was going to take a swing and grabbed him around the neck, he shoved her against the wall.
The idea of flying on a private plane with a alcoholic spouse (who will get unlimited refills, unlike a public carrier) and a teen going through a difficult rebellious phase…..sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Unless this was a chronic problem, I don’t see how it justifies keeping him away from his kids for years, particularly if he’s in recovery. I don’t know any other family court where that would happen.

Also, let’s all just predict that there will be another legal shit show when one of these two dies and their estate has to be split between the kids and all these properties will have to be sold off. It may be that Angelina is being more cagey about that and selling off the illiquid assets so it’s just a simple division problem.

Where’s his side of the story? It should be in the report. Also what the kids said. Sounds one sided. The report would have all of it in it. Clearly they believed the kids and Brad over her story. And sounds like she a attacked him first with the excuse of fearing for the kids.

It could be that the kids didn’t want to see their dad after his unhinged performance on the plane, which likely was not a one-off. I don’t care for either of these two, but I wouldn’t blame their kids if they didn’t want to be around a physically abusive alcoholic.

1+. Yeah, decision seems pretty straightforward for the older kids: both parents may be crazy, but still makes sense to choose the less violent, less alcoholic one! Agree if the report is true (and it is implausible that it is completely false), there is no way that Brad's behavior was a one-off, even if the incident was more severe than typical.

Everything that she has done publicly has been against the kids' best interest. However each of them behave in private, only he has behaved in the kids' best interest publicly, by keeping quiet.

That's ... a lot tamer than what was initially implied. He yelled at her and at a later point, when she grabbed him, he jerked away and she was hurt. And he ranted/yelled a lot. And at the end of the flight, grabbed her and shook her when she told him she was taking the children. <-- This all seems to be from her POV, either he didn't contradict her or the FBI didn't talk to him or he said exactly the same thing that she did. I thought I remembered that he punched/hit/attempted to hit one of the children. That's not in this report.

He obviously had other reasons for keeping quiet.
