None of us yet know what else he said. You're reacting to a report, not an absolute truth. Brighten up.

Everyone wants to know who gave him that gun. They were literally the people who should have known the gun was loaded.

I’m not so sure.

I can’t imagine why they would even have live ammo on a set. Why would a prop gun ever be loaded with live ammo? It doesn’t seem right.

There’s literally no official word on any of this just speculation on Twitter. All we know for sure is that a young woman is dead and Alec Baldwin fired a gun. Chill before you get all crazy conspiracy theory with this.

The head of Local 44 (IATSE - Los Angeles) already confirmed that it was a "live round" that was fired in an email to union members and that no one from the union was on the set of this film. Ergo, this was a non-union shoot.

If it’s a non union shoot then why would the union know what happened? Wait for the police. There’s an actual dead woman here.

I'm actually reading that it was a union shoot, with Local 480 New Mexico chapter providing the crew. No clue if this armorer was part on the union.

Anyways, the industry is small and people talk. Union and non-union work together all the time on the same projects. I'm sure the LA unions heard of this incident immediately, in real time.

Yeah, but a general rule of thumb is that if you're standing over a dead body, its a bad idea to make people believe you're pointing fingers.

Wondering why the weapon would aimed at the cinematographer and producer in the first place. Would make more sense if it was another actor from the scene

The scene could have been Baldwin pointing at the camera, and she was working behind the camera.

You have no idea what your first reaction would be if you accidentally killed someone because you fired a weapon you thought was safe as part of an act. His first reaction was probably based on just observing what happened and complete disbelief that it happened at all. It probably was not even close to sinking in and he was just trying to process what he was seeing. Something like, 'how could this have possibly happened this wasn't a loaded gun where did a loaded gun come from????' is, in my opinion, a completely normal reaction.

There are subsequent photos showing him bent over in distress. Coming to grips with the fact that you just killed someone I assume comes in stages, and I hope I never know what it feels like.

That's not a general rule of thumb. And no one thinks that Baldwin shot her on purpose.

+1 He may not have even realized someone was hurt at first

He may not have realized she was dead or even hit right away. I saw that the 911 call said a man had been shot in the arm, so it’s possible that due to angle or something people saw the director get hit with what might be a flesh would but not the cinematographer. He also might not have seen anyone get hit but rather knew right away from the recoil that a live round has been shot. “How the f— did that just bappen?” Might be one of the first things anyone would think.

I have seen things die in traumatic ways. He was probably bent over like that because he was nauseous. A very normal reaction, some people get physically ill. I don’t, but I have seen it hit others that way.

The article doesn’t say that was the first thing he said, anyway. It says he said it a few times. Very easy to understand that…OMG what just happened, how could this happen, why was the gun hot, etc.

Alec, as producer and seasoned actor, should have inspected weapon with weapons armorer. Lax safety protocols and criminal negligence.

No they don't inspect everything when their shooting. That is already supposed to be done by the people whose job that is. Stop trying to blame Baldwin.
