Walz is a smart, kind, joyful man and former history teacher. I'm so happy he made it to final 2! Both candidates have strengths. But I'm personally hoping for Walz. |
Walz let Minneapolis burn during the George Floyd riots - refused to call out the National Guard until it was way too late - and then Kamala donated to the fund that bailed out the rioters. What a combo. |
Why so many? The amount is what seems unusual to most of us with experience around these folks. |
Can someone please tell me why Kelly is out? I mean it can't be just the stupid Chinese investment issue right? |
So the governor is the mayor? And when you say "let Minneapolis burn" - I mean, do you know who started the fires and the looting? https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/28/us/umbrella-man-associated-white-supremacist-group-george-floyd/index.html https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/oct/23/texas-boogaloo-boi-minneapolis-police-building-george-floyd So let's blame the culprits, not the governor. |
I think a combo of his past anti-union stance, the DCCC not wanting to jeopardize his seat, and his communication style/vibes not fitting with Harris’s. |
Is he a dual national? How can a US citizen volunteer for a foreign army? Can Russian Americans or Chinese Americana do this? |
Harris explicitly said she wanted someone with governing experience. Walz has the advantage of being a governor who also has experience in Congress. And he flipped a red seat! Then he went on TV as part of Veep-stakes and turns out he’s super relatable, funny, and talks about policies in a way that everyday people can understand. He talks about the tangible outcomes, not the wonky policy. And yes, he did call Trump & JD weird. That single word/frame punctured a hole Trump’s mystic. Trump is still a dangerous psychopath, but now we are laughing AT him. |
Millions of Americans may well volunteer but none of them are putting themselves in a position where they are a heartbeat from the presidency. Serving in a foreign military, even for governments who use their militaries for butter as much as guns, would disqualify most or any of us here from holding a security clearance -- Israel is literally the only exception to this. So it is either naïve or disingenuous to think that this conflict will not present itself as part of the national dialogue around his candidacy, should it arrive. The idea of a potential Commander in Chief having served in a foreign military will, yes, be seen as kind of a big deal to a lot of voters. Especially those who aren't overfamiliar with the customs of the Jewish diaspora in America. |
Welcome to the next VP nominee.

This ^^. But it sure is entertaining watching the cheerleading for this pair. |
You’re assuming that volunteering for the IDF means combat, or anything to do with combat. I know a lot of people currently “volunteering for the IDF”. They are helping out in hospitals, delivering meals, working in warehouses, and yes, planting trees. None of them are Israeli or dual citizens. |
DP. You are calling out ONE culprit. How about all of these others?? Amazing how you just ignore the masses of destructive rioters, all because you want to point out ONE guy who fits your political narrative. And the Governor is responsible for calling in the National Guard, not the mayor. He failed to do so. https://minnesotareformer.com/2021/05/27/one-year-later-few-charges-for-the-arson-and-destruction/ |
Don’t forget his daughter. Sounds like a Hunter Biden situation. https://radaronline.com/p/kamala-harris-drug-scandal-senator-mark-kelly-daughter-molly-weed/ |
He couldn’t plant trees in Pennsylvania? I think it’s a valid question to ask a guy who cavalierly references surveillance if he’s a spy for a foreign entity. |
