SAHMs: What time does your DH normally get home after work?

Mine usually gets home between 6:30-7. Curious about others.

Mine gets home by 8-8:30pm. Sucks because that is when I am putting kids to bed and HE WANTS DINNER. Wish he would get home an hour earlier or an hour later!

Anywhere from 6-7:30, unless he's out of town

Wonder what 'burg PPs live in where the DH works until 5ish and yet makes enough to support the whole household?

I know my SAHM sister/BIL can pull that off ... in Omaha. I live in upper NW DC and cannot think of a single male or female who is home from work before 6. And we have the "short" commutes!

My DH does. He's a GS-15, works flex time, and is home (on the metro after his "short" commute) by 5-5:30pm after getting up at 5:30am to go in for 7am. He doesn't make enough for us to live in Ward 3 on a single income, but enough to live in this area.

Between 3pm & 5pm, I usually push him to be home by 4pm, no later.

7:30, give or take 15 minutes. He has to make an effort to leave in time to get home by that time so we can have family dinners. I would say 1 of 5 nights on average, he doesn't make it and I eat dinner with the kids by myself. He leaves at 7:30-8 a.m. and has a 45 minute commute each way.
