SAHMs: What time does your DH normally get home after work?

My DH works 9-6 and has a 15 minute commute. Clears just over $200k with bonus. He works as an in-house attorney for a Govt contractor.

I am a WOHM who comes home b4 my DH. He comes home at 730 - after dinner and homework almost done. It is a long day for me.

He is home by 5:30 almost everyday.

Mine gets home between 5:30 and 6. We live in Severna Park in a very nice neighborhood. He works for a large bank.

We both work, so not exactly answering your question OP. But we have arranged our schedules so that we have a family dinner 4 out of 7 days. It took a lot of creativity to pull this off. And we all have breakfast together.

I know my SAHM sister/BIL can pull that off ... in Omaha. I live in upper NW DC and cannot think of a single male or female who is home from work before 6. And we have the "short" commutes!

I wonder this too. But then again my neighbor is a SAHM and her DH is home BY 4:30 each day. I am always jealous because when he pulls up I know I've got 2 hours left. He doesn't leave that early either...around 7:30.

DH leaves the house between 7:30 and 8 am and gets home between 8 and 9 pm. It really sucks b/c I basically end up having to do most of the morning and evening routine completely alone and we can never do weekday family dinners. I finally ended up getting a babysitter to help me in the afternoons though and it has made me much happier.

between 6 and 6:30. But he leaves the house at 6. He arranged with his employer to work on the early side and leave at 5 so we could have family dinner and be home for homework. He is in the office by 7:30/8 and leave by 5 most days.

approx. 5:30pm. He leaves for work around 6:30 am.

I'm a previous poster that said Dh is home around 5:30pm. My husband works 'tilll about 4:45, has a 45 minute commute. We live in the outer suburbs of DC (Prince William County, VA) Dh is in the military.

This will be me, too, soon - I work FT and can't decide if it's easier to be a SAHM or a WOHM under those circumstances! Any tips for managing without losing your mind??

It varies day to day between 7:30 and 11:00

He commutes 60-90 minutes EACH WAY?!? Seriously?

I'd say so. It's one thing to SAHM and have the bulk of the household duties. But working and keeping up with the children and chores is murderous.
