Joe is out

If Biden hanging in there and bowing out at the last minute was a play against the GOP after the RNC. It must go down as the greatest burn in history. MAGAs had four years to demonize Kamala and they forgot to. Now they have 90 days!

Yep, absolutely getting the same vibe

You are getting an exciting vibe from the democratic process being blatantly disregarded in favor of the power of a few? Weird flex but ok go off

The only people who think that are conservatives. It's not the Democratic process, it's internal party decision making which presents a candidate for the democratic process.

So primaries don’t matter? Is that what you are suggesting? The will of the people doesn’t matter?

They do. She was on the ticket. Nobody is upset about this, except Trumpers.

She was on the ticket as VP.

You heard it here first.

Has Michelle ever been elected to anything?
Might as well choose a popular actor if we're throwing the need for experience out the window.

Trump wasn’t elected for anything either but I’m going based on AOCs video yesterday and the rumor that donors hung up on Kamala. Donors don’t want to waste millions on a wasted candidate and no donors = no campaign which is why Biden was forced out. If Kamala doesn’t get the donors to warm up to her, then Mo will be brought in by force at the 11th hour and her husband will run the presidency yet again

She raised over $30,000,000 last night.

She actually raised 50 million!

Trump raised nearly that much just from Elon Musk.

Yes, from one donor. Harris has raised through grass roots means which shows there is a great deal of enthusiasm.

Especially among Black women, who just a few days ago Republicans were insisting didn’t like Harris.

Most people underestimate the power of AKA and other black sororities. AKA invited Michelle Obama to become a member. Harris is already a member. AKA focuses on inviting the rich and powerful into their ranks, and you will have trouble if you don't align with them. The Divine 9 is a powerful group. I can't wait to see what they bring to the table.

Not hugely... they're a relatively new thing and none of them on either side are particularly fair and open. It's always been internal family machinations—Republicans and Democrats alike both hash out amongst themselves what they'll do, and then the democratic process happens in November. The smaller parties don't even bother with the voting—look at the libertarian convention a few weeks ago. Jsut a bunch of people shouting in a room at each other.

It's more like a costly internal poll, it's certainly not some sacred part of the democratic process.

You cannot be serious.

It's amazing all of the MAGA concern trolls on here that suddenly care about the Democratic primary process. Really something isn't it?

I'll speak for myself here - if the Rs want to do the same and get a new top-of-the-ticket before the election because their candidate can't effectively govern for the next 4 years, I won't say anything about it. No concern trolling from me.

Hey, don’t sell yourself short, kid. You’ve got the greatest DEI ticket in the history of the world. Both of your standard bearers are there because they have the right gender and skin color and I think we both know that not only are they both unqualified, by they also don’t have the skills, so congratulate yourself on yet another Republican DEI ticket that happily shoots itself in the foot on the issues they claim are the most important, like killing legislation they wrote.

Seriously. Enjoy having the oldest presidential candidate.

I literally have no idea what you’re talking about. My standard bearer? Who is that?

Black women nearly 100% will 1. Vote democrat 2. Support their own.

This is not a surprise or shocking.

That's not the demographic whose temperature we need to be taking.
We need to pull votes from Trump and pull the fence sitters in. That's the numbers I want to see

they should've thought about that BEFORE the convention.

The convention is where you settle who will be your nominee—it's relatively recent that primaries are in any way taken seriously or ever conducted. And the fact that things like the Iowa caucuses are factored in at all should give you an idea of how "democratic" either party's system is in the first place. If the grassroots don't want Kamala they can work it out a the convention—not sure what the problem is here.

The country doesn’t want abortion bans. Ask 57% of Ohio voters who approved a constitutional amendment protecting abortion access.

Republican presidency= national abortion ban. It’s not complicated.

Most voters are not going to make their decision based only on abortion access. The country does not want far left policies.

I think women want to have the freedom to control their own future.

Abortion is not a primary issue this year it is ranked at the bottom https://www.statista.com/statistics/323380/public-opinion-on-the-most-important-problem-facing-the-us/#:~:text=U.S.%20adults%20on%20the%20most%20important%20problem%20facing%20the%20country%20May%202024&text=In%20May%202024%2C%2012%20percent,cost%20of%20living%20and%20inflation.

Keep going with that, LOLOLOL.

January 6 says hi. Don't even.

Decades of GOP voter suppression - and the reason Texas is still red on its face - says otherwise, too.

If you vote for someone as VP, you’re saying you have confidence that they can step in as President at any moment.

Please do GOP. Your candidate is weak and LOST the last election. Find someone better.
