Who else is suddenly really pumped for November? I can't remember the last time Democrats were this excited! Probably 2008.

Yep, absolutely getting the same vibe

You are getting an exciting vibe from the democratic process being blatantly disregarded in favor of the power of a few? Weird flex but ok go off

Go back to worshiping your Moscowian Candidate.

The only people who think that are conservatives. It's not the Democratic process, it's internal party decision making which presents a candidate for the democratic process.

So primaries don’t matter? Is that what you are suggesting? The will of the people doesn’t matter?

They do. She was on the ticket. Nobody is upset about this, except Trumpers.

She was on the ticket as VP.

Not hugely... they're a relatively new thing and none of them on either side are particularly fair and open. It's always been internal family machinations—Republicans and Democrats alike both hash out amongst themselves what they'll do, and then the democratic process happens in November. The smaller parties don't even bother with the voting—look at the libertarian convention a few weeks ago. Jsut a bunch of people shouting in a room at each other.

It's more like a costly internal poll, it's certainly not some sacred part of the democratic process.

And the person who voted did win the voting has explicitly and whole-heartedly endorsed her saying that his supporters should back her and all of the other candidates who tried their hand at running have also endorsed.

That is not exactly true. My immediate family is on the conservative side except for one VERY left leaning daughter. We all respect each other and try our best not to discuss politics at the dinner table. You can imagine our surprise last night when she went on, very vocally, about how she was not a fan of Harris and not happy how this all played out.

I’d like to be a fly on the wall in the Trump campaign room today. RIP, bottles of ketchup.

Really? You think you just fell out of a coconut tree?

It's amazing all of the MAGA concern trolls on here that suddenly care about the Democratic primary process. Really something isn't it?

DP. If your daughter is truly "left leaning," I highly doubt she will vote for Trump when faced with a Trump-Harris choice on the ballot, no matter how she feels about Harris.

So what’s she going to do, stomp her feet and vote for Trump? That’ll show Kamala. 😂

Let’s break down the argument:

“Aren’t you at all concerned about the unorthodox breakdown within the democratic nomination process?”

“Go worship Trump! He tried to steal the election so why shouldn’t our candidates do whatever they want!”

#1 how do you know I support trump?
#2 is the suggestion we should in our minds normalize undemocratic actions taken by our “leaders”?

Yes, just as they railed about early voting and mail-in voting etc. until the MAGA party and Dear Leader started encouraging them to do it!

it's definitely a made-up story. it was the left wing of the party that hated Biden because he was so moderate/right-leaning.
