Q3 12-6 saints

SR looks flat. Not seeing the flashy speed they showed all year. 3rd game this week? Maybe 13-6 deficit with 9 minutes to go has taken the wind out of their sails, but slow walking off the field during a time out isn't a great look.

On the other hand, SSSAS showing more team hype than normal as well. They seem to really want this one.

That’s BS. The refs won it for the saints.

Saints win 15-11

Saints won it when it mattered most.

They looked like the faster and better team today and it showed.

In control of the tempo of the game

Always an excuse.

Congratulations SSSAS!

Ok SR dad.

So SSSAS pulled it off. I believe final was 15-11 after a late, spirited run by SR, but the livestream doesn't show the scoreboard consistently. Congrats to KJ and the class of 2026. Would have been interesting to see this team play a tougher out-of-conference schedule and test themselves a bit, but they avenged their only loss. Why not challenge GC on a neutral field after VISAA?

SR can console themselves with the knowledge they bring back far more firepower than anyone else in the ISL (or WCAC), and arguably the best returning player in the conference. They will be heavy favorites.

SR parent here, Saints were just the better team today. They won more draws, dropped fewer passes, and made smarter shots. Saints goalie is an Amherst commit and SR goalie is a freshman, big difference there. I’m still optimistic about SR, we have great underclassmen and apparently a strong group of 2030s but today was fairly won by Kathy and her team so congrats Saints.

Ok. But what about NCS?

Saints won draws and goalie kept them in the game. Offensive plays also played off and converted to critical goals. Plus they have 15 seniors to deliver experience. SR got out coached. Girls were gritty and fought back but the youth of the team (with only 2 seniors) was not enough to come back. Great run by SR and congrats to Saints. Great match up by two great teams.

This post did not age well. SR is a good team with talented players, but they just got dominated by a SSSAS team in every phase, including coaching. SSSAS went out to a 3-0 lead, and it was never close, it was 8-4 at half and 12-6 after 3Q, and an 8 goal game with 7 min left. It could’ve been a 10 goal game easily if SSSAS didn’t take their foot off the gas. None of this is a negative on SR, it just was a different class of play today. It happens when you have experienced players who are very good individually and play well as a team. Congrats to both teams on good ISL seasons, lots of quality players on both sides who will be playing in college.
