I was shocked after reading multiple article in regards to the high rate of AIDS in the DC Black Community. Is it wrong to let my daughter know of the dangers of sex with Black Guys in DC? Am I being unresonable?

Haven't read the article, but to answer your question - yes - absolutely.
I can't even imagine telling my children not to date somebody b/c of the color of your skin. It wouldn't even enter into my consciousness. Like others have said, why don't you teach your DD about safe sex, period. |

OP, so you're going to tell your daughter not to date black men from DC because 4% of blacks have HIV but you're going to tell her it's okay to date whites and Latinos from DC because only between 1% and 2% of them have HIV? OP, the rate of infection among blacks is higher but it's still a very small number of people. The best way to avoid HIV is to practice safe sex rather than to practice racial profiling. You are truly ignorant. |
