Be sensible, logical and a bit less emotional but practical. Worry about yourself and look at the impact not what you deem to be right or wrong in the heat of the moment. You completely miss the reason why people are canceling. It’s not because the WaPo didn’t endorse Harris. It’s because the billionaire owner showed he’s willing to bias the papers editorial judgment to please Trump. That leads to a loss of trust in the paper.

I think the tantrums are funny. There is more of an issue of regular folk not subscribing and yes the circulation numbers before this were down. Newspapers and all of them should not be weighing in on elections. Bezos recognizes that people are losing faith in media. That is not good for democracy. Have opinions writers and have both or all sides if third parities and also report news and do not act as surrogates
for one or other party.

oh the anger. What about all the papers refusing to write on Hunter Biden Laptop and calling it disinformation last time. It was a huge issue. Trying to keep things even and focused on news and not advocacy should be a priority

I don't know if you understand this story. The editorial board did want to endorse Harris and they wrote an endorsement but the owner refused to let them publish it. People don't subscribe to the post because they want to know bezos's opinions. They subscribe to the post because they respect the reporting and the editorial board that he has in place. If they're not going to get that, why should they read the paper?

All you lefties sound like a 5 year old having a temper tantrum. The Post endorsing a candidate or not endorsing a candidate has no effect on an election. Journalists, who are supposed to be objective and not be part of the story should keep their politics to themselves if they want to be thought of as such. But we all know the Post’s reporting is extraordinarily biased in favor of Dems which is why the employees and subscribers are losing their minds over this meaningless gesture bc they fear the Post might actually try to be objective.

The endorsement is done by the editorial board and appears on the opinion pages. It's like you've never actually read a newspaper, but you seem to have a lot of opinions about them.
