Looking for better sources...please give suggestions

X/Twitter is 100 times better and it’s free. But you do need to spend some time filtering out the noise.

OMG...I would rather read the Post then give 1 click to Twitter.

I guess he decided that Democracy can die in darkness after all.

Thanks for this. I thought we all tolerated Bezos bc he was just the silent underwriter. Now we have TWO COMPETING Billionaires in Washington DC?! This is next level. I don’t even care about 45/47 anymore. He seems over already.

I mean the man let a three year old kid smack-talk him in his own office building. He just stared at the kid, hunched over and clutching his hands together. He was over before he began.

When you are bullied by a three year old, that’s pretty good sign that you are sort of the stooge sitting at your desk…while the real business men do the leading.

Can you imagine Churchill sitting there like that with a child whispering to him — in front of journalists and cameras??

That kid is hilarious. They smell weakness.

Bait and switch is common in DC. Sorry you are learning the hard way.

Ok, why are “personal liberties” and “free markets” bad things and why does everyone here hate this so much?

Explain it to me like I’m 5 years old.

Because I don’t understand why these are bad things. What’s wrong with a newspaper editorial page that advocates for personal freedoms? What is wrong with free markets? Is a state-controlled economy more desirable? Have any of you who are upset about this actually lived anywhere with a state controlled economy?

I just don’t get the outrage here. Please help explain it to me?

Everything is state controlled. There really aren’t free markets. Kind of like traffic. We have rules, those are the controls and you ahve to follow them. Otherwise you end up with crappy products and angry people, or unsafe working conditions for employees. Like multiple ambulances called to a warehouse because it is not air conditioned and your workers are dropping of heat stroke. Or if you require your drivers to pee in jars becuase you’don’t Build in breaks. Those are examples of how a completely free market doesn’t work and we all need rules and guard rails.

I got rid of Amazon, and you can too.

1) log in to your account on the Amazon website
2) In the drop-down menu under Your Account, click on Account
3) Click on the box that says Prime
4) Click on Manage Membership
5) Cancel automatic renewal of Prime
6) Click on the box that says Membership Ending
7) Click on Payment Methods
8) Uncheck your credit card

There, you are FREE!!!

Was that difficult?

Spend your money elsewhere!!!

Just like traffic lights help keep gridlock at bay, regulations help keep workers happy and working for you.
Or help keep companies from destroying the earth and our drinking water or air.
We all need rules.

That's how I felt on the first day he was in office. Trump is clearly a figurehead, and the billionaires tolerate his addled self because he is the one that has given them the keys to power.

You are not describing a planned economy and you know it.

Bad faith disingenuous answer on your part. You should be ashamed.

So you actually believe Republicans don’t want traffic lights.

Wow.

And Op/Ed section of a paper should be able to write about anything relevant and interesting. It can include free markets and personal liberties, but should be limited to. Censorship seems pretty antithetical to “personal liberty.”

Are you 15? Even my kids, when 15, would’ve been able to muster an opinion about this.
