Will Whittle be around next year?

I write to you on the occasion of FANTASTIC NEWS!
One of our very generous benefactors, Billy McFarland, has brought together each and every one of the parent committees to enable us to offer to you, and the broader WHITTLE WORLD COMMUNITY, the

Whittle Academics Coin Offering! I know that's a lot of words all in a row, and its very financially complicated. I would not expect you to understand. But I can simplify it for you, and we can just call it "WACO" for short.

The day, my beloveds, of initial coin offering (what we in the financial elite call an "ICO") will enable all of us to participate more fully in the TREMENDOUS SUCCESS that WSS (another fancy acronym, this one for Whittle School and Studios) has always been, and always will be.

As your dear leader, I will need to pay some bills first. I am about to get cancelled at the Ritz Carlton, and I don't think any of you would begrudge your dear leader the mental space for clarity of thought and MASSIVE IDEATION that the Ritz enables for me in the suites overlooking Central Park.

But don't worry. We have reserved your allocation in WACO and wire instructions will be sent out to all parents and students shortly.

Yours Eternally,
CW

As much as I LOL reading this, we need to keep in mind that kids/families are tied up in this mess and potentially, for this upper school students can have serious repercussions on their futures.

This ^ you have seniors scheduled to graduate and go to college.

Does anyone know where the 6 seniors have gotten into college?

Early decision rounds have all been announced, but regular decision announcements are coming out pretty much Mar 20 - Mar 31. Apart from Early Decision, very very few schools have announced acceptances yet.

I understand that as part of the college application process, the school sends to the college - along with the transcript and teacher recommendations - a school profile that describes the school. I wonder what Whittle has been sending for that.

How have their athletic teams been fairing this year?

A few weeks ago the Whittle die-hards were irate at people on this forum speculating about the school using shady Venmo side transactions to fund student lunches.... And yet here we are... Venmo donations to fund meals for the boarders! Meanwhile CW insisting that hundreds of millions are just within grasp of his greedy little fingertips.... Him and his entire non-leadership team should be ashamed of themselves

Good question! I wonder if the coaches have found new jobs including the Athletic Director, Coach Shay?

Have any Whittle families been updated on the upcoming auction and what happens after? For instance, what if the school can’t buy the building? What if the school buys the building, but still struggles with operations? I feel like this is such an inflection point.

How in the world would the school buy the building?!

Maybe one of the parents will take advantage of their professional position to use cluent money to buy the building and let WSS stay on rent-free? WSS has no money.

Not possible. When it sold in 2018, it went for $300 million. Delusional to suggest WSS could buy the building.

I obviously agree that the notion of WSS purchasing it is absurd. That said, he said that he wants to buy it and intends to be a bidder (he, of course, also said that he’d create, you know, a school and presumably pay teachers).

I can’t imagine the reaction when a TOTALLY separate company, Whittle Real Estate Acquisition Corp, buys the building. They will then put the WSS into bankruptcy, bailing on their debt and owning the building.

I might be giving him way too much credit.
