Never send your kids to a for-profit school. Period. It is a Chinese backed school that was only out to make money, and they mismanaged it miserably. The school is shutting down by the end of this year. Good luck to all.

Whittle parent here - applied out for next fall and was WL everywhere. We are full pay - so FA is not an issue. How did other kids do with the admission cycle?

They're out of money to feed the boarding students??? If so, that's a serious issue. Like one where someone should call Child and Family Protective Services

Allegedly, a recent email promised this, with regard to the faculty, for the 2022-23 school year: "Address needs and gaps; build program, curriculum, instructional materials, facility, and staffing needs (including professional support and development)"

As I recall, that's the same thing they promised last summer for the 2021-22 school year, faculty-wise. .... And since the "professional development" in that promise apparently translated to "big delays in paying the professionals," I wonder what it would mean in the year to come?

As much as I LOL reading this, we need to keep in mind that kids/families are tied up in this mess and potentially, for this upper school students can have serious repercussions on their futures.

If I were applying out, I would be telling admissions offices that you are prepared to re-class / repeat whatever the current year is. For 9th grade repeating, that should work well enough. Also a likely expansion year.

But the academics at Whittle will be a big question mark on an application. Going to need to have even more amazing scores, and even more amazing special cello ability and community leadership etc.
