Conditioning sessions is standard for most MLSNext teams. The physical assessments are not. But if BSC makes this available to all their teams, that’s pretty cool |
2013 Gs were meh. Whole game is get ball to G at top. Thats going to be an issue for them. |
No, I’m a BSC parent of HS age and we have seen no conditioning or fitness assessments. Nor have we heard anything about it. Obviously not ECNL… |
Did you attend the open house? If not, you are not aware. The information is rolling out over the next month or so as they just opened the facility. |
No. They should share this via weekly scoop for people that couldn’t come. |
so this will be availabvle for all teams and ages? |
did the fees stay flat or is this extra |
Only open to first teams. might open up to other teams later |
Haves and have nots, classic Bethesda. Keep up the good work! |
Seems like there might be pushback since everyone pays the same dues, but only 1st teams get to have these extras... did they mention age groups, technically even U8 has a 1st team (though it's not advertised as one) |
The building just opened. These will be rolled out through the fall. I have a child on a 1st team but not MLS Next or ECNL and I would not have known anything if I did not attend the open house. It is a tremendous benefit that I was not banking on as a parent that I appreciate and have already seen the benefits because of actions I was able to take at the open house. If you did not attend the open house, sit back and be patient. The best thing you can do is nominate a parent manager to get information on behalf of your team. I would imagine management is more concerned with getting WIFI in the building than whether a 2016 who only plays 2x a week is tested at the same time as an ECNL 2008 playing 5-6x a week who will need the baseline testing to help them this fall. |
Classic everywhere. You should see what it’s like at Potomac and Liverpool. Liverpool has the specials and the hopeless and if you’re in that second group you’re screwed. If you’re a chosen one you attend every practice, play 4-5 games a weekend bc you’re Speshul, you play up a year and for your own team, and more. Not Speshul? Better hope you’re got a Hopeless. Shunted aside, ignored, not even worth noticing. |

It is not the first time. There are clubs in the area who already offer conditioning and physical assessments and even nutrition plans to their first teams. Although it is bunch of scientific nonsense. Good luck reading and acting on the assessment reports LOL. |
The coaches will not look at any of this, ever. |
