Bethesda Soccer On Way Down

Yes, BSC McKennie 2016 played up this weekend but used four 2015 players. From a development standpoint, this is a really bad message for the 2016 players. They are being taught that winning is more important than developing. From a competition standpoint, this is just another one of JC’s deceiving tactics to make others believe BSC is more than what they really are. Wondering PG’s thoughts about this. So low.

Just prepping the kids and parents for the MLS Next years where they do the same thing, by manipulating the "late developer" rule.

From a development standpoint, it is bad for your player because of your messaging to your player.

I would imagine your players ego would have been just fine if they were one of the players playing or if they were fully apart of the squad that destroyed a 2016 bracket.

I saw the 2016’s destroy two teams this weekend in the 2015 bracket so the decision to play the majority of the squad up is appropriate.

If your child played less than 50% of the time, take that up with the coaches as that would be the only thing inappropriate. Otherwise, it is only your ego in the way of your child’s development and the way you are communicating with them. You may ask for parenting help if need assistance with messaging but you are waaaay overstepping here and completely inappropriate. Let the coaches coach. If you don’t like JC’s involvement, confront him or move clubs.

You 2016’s are a toxic group.

Your kid will quit in 3 years with this energy.

Sincerely, BSC Parent who will still root for your kid and hopes you get counseling and calm the f down.

not sure they are a toxic group but they are definitely part of a toxic environment JC has created. most of them will likely either quit or find a new club in the coming years

Where are you getting your information? There were only 2 players from 2015 helping out.

Soccer mom DNA is strong in this 2016 group. Tread carefully, despite how talented ther kid is they will walk all over you privatley and publicly when they see fit to assert their dominance.

I accept all lifestyles but is there more there than just a business partnership? Anyone remember ambiguously gay duo from SNL? Next time you see ML and NM think if that and you won't be able to help yourself from a lighthearted giggle

And BSC families should be prepared to shell out hundreds of additional dollars to the private organization that will host college ID sessions using BSC's platform and resources. It happened at FVU, and Union before that.
