The Golden Bachelor

He always tried to convince the audience what a sensitive ,loving ,great guy he was, far from it!
With his crying and nonsensical explanations about everything. Liked to hear himself talk .He was awful! Childish and fake as the day is long. Not the least bit enjoyable to watch.

Nothing worse than a man that plays women.
He did not have to tell them all he loved them and were the one. Poor Theresa and she knows about all of it. She also is not lucky to wind up with that! Leslie way luckier.

Do you mean "If I were her"?

Aargh, “if I were she” is correct. Review high school grammar before you try to correct someone.

Exactly. "I" is subjective case, and so is "she." "Were" is in the subjunctive.

Just because it's formally correct does not mean that it's the way normal people talk. It makes you sound like a pretentious a-hole.

Wow. No, that's a normal way to speak unless you had a deficient education.

A what? Do you think this sentence is normal? Think again.

And yet..you did! Gerry's season had the highest ratings for any lead in the past 9 seasons (since Matt James and the racism debacle with Rachel and her soroity party at a plantation).

ABC knows that (1) they need to show drama (*even if that makes the audience hate the winner) and (2) they need the lead to fully lead on BOTH women going into the finale so that the loser has a reaction and the audience has a reaction.

The only woman who made it to the final two but didn't care to be picked as the winner was Becca Tilley and she came out as gay a few years later. The show is set up so that the lead must give assurances to two women as the finale approaches. Sure, Gerry over promised. Even when promises aren't explicit, the loser still gets heart broken because they believed the implicit promises of the lead.

Fear not, gentle viewers! Leslie was never a match fir Gerry and she'll benefit financially, professionally, and romantically in the end! Everybody's a winner!! 😉

Gerry did a lot wrong with Leslie, but also it is a red flag that she can’t say she’s bad a single successful relationship her entire life. Both things can be true.

It’s funny the shows with the villain always gets the highest ratings so I guess that’s why you think that golden bachelor got somebody high ratings because he was not a good guy when everybody was expecting him to be I don’t care I’m 72 had the great shows like Dallas and Melrose plays all villains and all high ratings. This show I thought it would be a little bit kinder, but I don’t care. It was totally unappealing. He was just an old geezer who was in a hole plenty of those.

Don’t assume you know anything about Leslie’s life. Her first husband they outgrew each other have a child and are the best of friends. Her second husband cheated on her, that’s his bad. Not her fault . Why do you judge a person when you know nothing. How would you like that.

I don’t think Theresa has a hair and makeup professional. Her hair is FULL of split ends and it’s frazzled and ugly. She manipulated him and I think he was stupid to buy into it. He told Leslie what he did because he wanted to get into her pants. Then he portrayed himself as a man with integrity but the truth always comes out. Not only does he not have that, he is a liar. Once a liar always a liar. He was crying over hurting Leslie and said he would hurt the rest of his life but that wasn’t true. He was happy the rest of the show. He is fake. He prolly picked Theresa in the end cuz he thought he would get more money from Theresa The first thing he said about her is she’s a business person. I won’t be watching the wedding. He has no integrity like he pretends to have. His words mean nothing. A man is only as good as his words
