Private & Independent Schools
| When CW was wooing investors at the outset of this scheme, he told them that by 2021 they would have a network of 12-16 campuses with tens of thousands of enrolled kids and would be able to IPO the company at a multi billion $ valuation. Now he can't afford to make payroll at his ONLY campus. Not a great sales pitch to the next "investor" |
To sum it up, 10% of the students have already left if they had better options, 70% want to complete the year or stay until it closes and then move on to other schools next year. 20% are die hard believers of the school's mission not necessarily CW. Also a portion of the 70% really believe in the schools mission but are tired of the unfulfilled promises of funding and outcomes. The next major dates are March 24th the foreclosure and April 1st DCPS school lottery results. Maybe the school will open and be rebranded as something else next year. |

| Yeah, it will most likely be rebranded as an Amazon distribution warehouse. |

Last week one of the staff members sent a message letting us know that the teachers in charge of the boarders where down to their last $5/$10 and had no more money for food. She asked for people to venmo money to feed the kids. They received enough for a few weeks but that made me cringe. So tired of this school asking for money. Thank goodness we found a new school for DC. Another lie that they are telling parents is how many kids are stilled enrolled. When I asked I was told 150, then I asked another staff member who told me 80. When I walked in the other day It didn’t look like 80 students to me.

I am pulling out my student after the current school year. We have plans for where they will be going for the next school year. There was an email sent out by Manny, and he made it seem like Whittle had plans to continue onwards. However, I am so skeptical and really hope the school operates until the end of the current school year. I am so sick and tired of the unfulfilled promises. The problem lies with CW himself. As long as he is around, the school has no future. |

| That email is about as specific as the sources of funding needed to finance it. |
of course.
That has always been the case at WSS. CW or Manny would send out emails saying that he has "detailed updates," but in reality they are just long winded gibberish that doesn't provide substantial info. Of course always the mantra of "the money is coming"

Let's see.
Months on end of cruelty against the innocent. Great heaping mounds of self delusion. Did Putin take over the school? Or is it just that all terminally selfish con men are the same? |
What both CW and Putin have in common are their attitudes are "my way or the highway." |
New benefit of a WSS education they'll soon be touting. "Each student has 7500 sq ft of our very pricey builsing space entirely to themselves." |
| Current family here, but will be leaving at the end of the school year. This school is so sketch. We received very generous financial aid to come here, but since this year, there has been no information about applying for financial aid. When inquiring about applying for finaid, there was no response. When I go to SSS, WSS is no longer listed as a school option.on the school website, it only lists "need-blind blanket tuition" that will be incrementally increased over the next few years back to its original sticker price. Even for what we are paying for, the quality of education and food are abysmal. |
| I like the promise of getting the classes out into DC more. Are they prepping for an eviction? |
| That email sounds nothing like the ones our family receives from our independent. Our messages are more around how to help Ukraine, highlights of student achievements, and discussions of upcoming field trips… |
