Evergreen has the same challenge as Top Cal does: Most of the NLF teams won't let them into their top tourneys, like Crabfeast. Cause if one of those teams did well, it would disrupt their monopoly.

There are over 50 teams at NLF in the 2024 group between A and AA. About 1/3 of them are not well known clubs. I would say if the check clears the team is in.

You really know nothing about NLF.

Congrats to VLC for bringing Dico to coach the 28 team. Great move they might even turn this thug around

Any kid on the 28’s in public school better start looking for a new team ASAP. Get ready for cuts as he has his favorites, and those are the prep kids.

Clueless. VLC demographic is more than 50% public. VLC has a history of great players from public school.

Dico coming in right now is too late. Alot of the players have already gone to other teams like BLC/DCE, Madlax, Hammers/Team Virginia, and True. I also disagree on the prep kids. I believe he is going to have to work with who shows up at try-outs right now. He is a fantastic coach, but a lot of parents want to get away from the management of VLC.

You’re mistaken… How many of his D1 commits are public kids from his elite teams? How many public’s don’t ride the bench?

Yes he is an amazing coach. The club has gone down tremendously after acquiring cavaliers. These new changes should have happened two years ago. The great coach does have his favorites and they tend to be private kids. If you’re lucky enough to make his team and be a favorite you’re in good hands.

Any ideas what’s happening at the 29 level?

Also, do they have a 2030 team?

I believe the HC of the top team was either canned or asked to leave. Nothing really salacious just rumors that he was being more accommodative to his son's lax endeavors than the team in general (no idea if that is accurate just what I heard). Thus, many of the kids on the top team are leaving for other teams. Rumors have been floating around for the 6-9 months that most of those kids were looking either at an entire team level move or individually.

8 (or 5) players went to True Chesapeake per comment on BoTC.

Notice that all of these kids leaving are AFTER the CAVS purchase and change in management...

Those parents are nuts (I know I'm talking about lax parents). That's at least 3 hours in the car from NOVA to Annapolis and back. Good luck I guess.
