| GA will not be a welcome change for Charlotte independence girls, especially those who are in the middle of recruiting. Players will leave |
hahaahahah because they are so good in ecnl.. not going to lie, its actually funny to hear these mediocre clubs crying about going to GA. Good Luck winning anything there! |
If this seems unlikely to you, I would start planning for it. It’s not only likely, but happening. Verdict is out whether they got MLSN or MLSN 2. |
Agree, a mid pack ECNL team is not going to dominate in GA unless they work their way up over some seasons. And recruiting wise they will be fine in either league. Our experience in both leagues was there was no advantage of one over the other. It's more about being a contributor on a highly competitive team and having a coach with connections. |
excatly.. imagine being a D1 player and thinking a league will automatically take away your chances of being a D1 player |
If nothing else watching ECNL parents call other ECNL clubs "not so good" when they're rumored to switch to GA has been fun to watch. GA parents have been saying this for years + whenever they do the ECNL hats try to change the subject to the success of other clubs (that their kid doesn't play for) or some college Stat (about a college their kid won't be attending to play soccer). There will be some bigger names. The meltdowns and hysterics are going to be entertaining. |
imagine CISC thinking they are too "Big" to play against CUP and City SC lol.......These hats man |
We aren't at that level where we talk to those kids much - but they train 4x a week with the club 10 months of the year and do private training on the side. The ones I know are focused on soccer and playing careers, whether that's college or pro (realistic or not). Down in mid table RL land, I'd be fine going back to NCYS or doing NPL. |
Agree and have been saying this for a while. With any league there's the top 10% that win everything, the middle 80% that win and lose, and the bottom 10% that lose every game. The amount of wins and losses all comes down to facilities, management decisions (culture), and coaching. Players other than the unicorns are interchangeable. Watching parents chase a league is both entertaining and pathetic because in the end it doesn't matter. |
Gotcha, appreciate the reply. And yeah, probably not so realistic when you look at how few Academy players go to anything other than really small/D3 schools for college, but I admire those kids for chasing their dreams. I'm not too worried about whatever happens at CISC. Love the club, never going back to CSA (and thoroughly enjoyed kicking their ass in our ECNL match yest lol), it'll all work out fine. |
Where exactly will these girls go to? CSA? They’ve already had tryouts. The top players are going to get recruited GA or ECNL. The middle to bottom players on the roster are going to be in the same boat GA or ECNL. If you didn’t consider switching clubs prior to tryouts, that would most likely indicate that you’re happy with the current club and the direction it is headed in with the players and director. Being in ECNL isn’t a magic ticket to college soccer. |
| Mid Atlantic ECNL was 13 teams last year. 12 teams this year. 10 teams or less next year. Will there be a re alignment? |
Well said.. people are idiots |
How many ecnl playoff spots per club/team? |
| CISC will have one MLS Next team and 2 MLS Next 2 teams. Girls will go GA. |
