Especially considering the discussion we had here about the banfields Christmas cards- it was just the daughter. No family pic.

Is that picture in the center of the Christmas card the photo of the two of them at dinner she had posted? I could be wrong of course.

Although a Christmas card would have had to have been sent been sent before the murders (next Christmas she was in jail) so probably not.

Not a Christmas card but maybe a photo montage put together and printed for AP to send to Brazilian friends showing her “wonderful” life in the US with a psychopath.

Christine was a sexual assault nurse examiner and it was still something she did in addition to being a pediatric nurse prior to her death.

SANE nurses often examine people who were victims of rape or other brutal sex crimes and are sometimes required to testify in court about it.

Is the trial set to April 15? Where?

Just based on yesterday, I'm starting to feel worried that they don't have enough to charge BB and he'll get away with this.

No, April 15 is when the grand jury will hear the evidence to see if there’s enough for her to be indicted in the circuit court… if they move forward which hopefully they will, they will then set a trial date. No way will that be anytime soon.

And that’s not open to public, right?

Yes, open to the public.

She also had a motions hearing today about bond but very doubtful they'd go for that.

Anyone on this thread due for jury duty on the 15th? Lol?

I wondered the same. The center photo seems to be the one from the restaurant that was on her IG and which may have been before the FOB show in MD per her post and DCUM sleuths re: date.

Early on someone mentioned neighbors stopping by the night before to wish him happy birthday, not because he is friendly with them but because they liked CB and was a friendly nabe. That he was plotting this to take place in 12 hours is surreal.

FYI - here's a good summary of what is happening next:

"The grand jury of the Circuit Court meets every month or two (it depends on the schedule in that court). The grand jury meets on “term day,” which is the first day of the month-long or two-month-long term of court. At that time, the case is presented to the grand jury — a group of 5 to 8 citizens chosen by the Clerk and the Judge. In such a case, the police officer or lead investigator will typically just tell the grand jury what the Commonwealth’s evidence is. The grand jury will almost never hear from actual witnesses, and typically will not hear any of the defense side of things. Not surprisingly, in virtually all cases certified to the grand jury, the grand jury issues an indictment. And because virtually all cases result in indictments, the defendant will need to be present in Circuit Court on term day when the next date will be picked."

In Fairfax Co Circuit Court, Grand Jury meets the 3rd Monday of every odd-numbered month (January, March, May, July, September and November) and Criminal Term Day shall commence at 9:00 a.m. on each Thursday immediately following the regular Grand Jury.
