I absolutely love Louise Lucas. She kicks Glenn and Ted in the nuts at every opportunity.

Just seems inconceivable that opposition by voters would derail something pushed by a billionaire, the local governments and the governor. Maybe sometimes things DO work the way they're theoretically supposed to?

Except that Lucas isn't motivated by what voters think. She hates Youngkin. This is personal.

Local government is reconsidering fast- an election year was terrible timing for this. Youngkin is antagonistic with the state senate and needs their sign off. You would think a private equity deal maker would realize that

Him marching in that Right for Life in Richmond, then stating in interviews he still is going to push for a 15 week abortion ban because that's what Virginians are asking for (huh?) is just insane.

He's nuts. He is delusional. He is an absolute politician. Lucas better stay the course. I did read there is still a round about way the arena deal can happen without Lucas, but I didn't really understand it. Was on Richmond.com but it's behind a paywall now.

Don't give him too much credit. Most people like Youngkin are driven by greed and ego, not by intelligence.

Yeah - I think they had him keep his mouth shut during his campaign because he sounds like a delusional nut job.

People like Youngin and Leoinsis got lucky with money. I am not saying they didn't earn it, but sheesh, taking a low level job at AOL right before it went public and then cashing out on the TWX deal, and then parlaying that into a part ownership of Abe Pollin's sports empire because you could talk a 21st century tech game is just a crock.

And Youngkin hates ordinary Virginians. And women. It's personal for him, too.

And fellow owner Jerry R in Chicago is also seeking a taxpayer subsidy.

None of these guys would be billionaires without taxpayer subsidies.

It’s too bad they can’t have a little humility about that fact.
